So with the currency boost being implemented tomorrow, pure DPS mains and people who already had all their rank 3’s will be able to collect echoes and let’s see… oh yeah still be behind lazy people and alts who’ve been stockpiling echoes for 2 months 
Are they taking anything away from you? No? Then this point is invalid. Unless, of course you are one of those that only get satisfaction lording things over others, then sucks to be you, I suppose.
This system actually hurts mains that need to choose a corruption they are set back even farther than alts are.
This, please! I am not tempted to do the cloak grind over and over. There are more entertaining things I can do in game, especially kills my desire to grind that cloak with Shadowlands on the horizon.
my main has NO echoes cause I had all the rank 3 essences, but i have been doing ALL the contents that earn echoes. which means I could have had a massive store of them. Does this mean I have to earn fresh?
Alts has echoes, but mains dont… so i cant buy targeted corruption until after alts?

I’m good with this. It’s almost like they looked at those of us who put our alts to cloak 5 then gave up once they started wanting bonus objectives. I’m cool with buying corruption too, again it’s like they looked at players like myself who are barely engaged with the system, and they’ve given us something to play with. I’m already more motivated to do vision content, and considering it’s the linchpin of 8.3 I can’t be mad about that. Still the most important part of the process is the 445 gear from cache, I was actually hoping they’d up the ilvl for a basic run, 420 is poor except it may be favorably corrupted. A 445 once a week just for a basic completion wouldn’t break the system at all, it’s all borrowed power anyway.
So when can we skip the cloak quest chain grind on alts? Because none of this does me any good since it requires you to finish the cloak.
That is the worst part of it though! Maybe it isn’t so bad for a single alt, but if you have one of every class it becomes very grindy.
Now, let’s do this with titan residuum too. Allow it to drop from all forms of content, and let us just buy those 475 pieces outright quickly. Not getting good azerite feels terrible, and it’ll bring people back when they don’t have to farm for 3 months for one specific piece.
Too many pieces on too many specs are just plain out bad even sometimes being worse than a 445, so a gambling system with the 475 being so far out of reach cost-wise is silly at this point. Expac is done, let us have a bit of fun with azerite already.

Well a couple things -
1 - if people had alts, they put more time into the game, which doesn’t really make them lazy.
2 - “Behind” doesn’t matter. The world first race is over. There’s nothing to be “behind” for anymore.

Maybe,My holy priest doesn’t have the cloak and she’s getting echoes.I think so long as your main has done it.
They’re lazy in the sense that they didn’t grind out all of their rank 3 essences when the content was current, so they were able to benefit from the echoes system to catch up. If they then chose to not buy those essences still, then they’ve effectively been sitting on a stockpile of echoes for months.
“Behind” does matter. There’s still plenty of people pushing mythic progression and other high end game content. For people’s mains to not be able to purchase bis corruptions right off the bat like someone’s alt feels like a punishment for being responsible.
Finally. It is sad that what ends up being done near the end would have been the best thing to have done at the beginning.

The system itself isnt bad at all. The INSANE rng nature of it is. Just like Legion legendaries made it feel like dog crap.
I have an idea…how about NOT dropping corrupted gear for characters who dont have that stinking cloak yet?

I kind of hate this or at least it runs counter to what I want but I love Jesus so it’s probably right.

I’m all for catch up mechanics, but my main SHOULD NOT be punished for playing more than alts and returning/new players.
