People already have that, it is a terrible idea to play at 224 corruption and the drawback to playing with that much corruption is already built into the system.
Get the cloak maybe?

I have already had rank 3 (some rank 4 as well but that is not the point) in every slot before the patch came out. so i have not been getting ANY Echoes AT ALL on him for months do you see the problem yet ? There for i on my MAIN raid char will not have any saved up to spend on the new corruptions from the vendor. Where now people who did NOT put in the work to farm out there corruptions will have a mass stock pile of Echoes to there mains AND alts. Its like pushing those who do content and rewarding the those who don’t.

Then we fundamentally disagree. I think 2 weeks is egregious based on the fact that I had no control over this and Blizzard created this issue.

I enjoy raiding and primarily play this game to raid. Now that my guild cleared the current tier, my goal is to reclear and push my parses. That means corruption and gear are extremely important. Are you saying my playstyle is wrong?
I’m so happy I have 200k visions on this toon, thats about 15k echoes and 4-5 sockets by my count if i just run them non stop when this happens. Also really glad I didn’t vendor all my raid 475 gear.
If you want to talk about plausibility, it’s far more plausible that they’re going to “reset” the currency like what they did to Titan Risiduum or inflate the currency even much higher.
I’m saying you are doing fine for yourself right now, and after this hotfix hits you will chase your desired corruption goals, prolly have fun getting them and then have fun having them.

Firstly Love that your doing a catch up mechanic for corruptions and cloak BUUUUUUUUUUUUUT i have two glaring complaints.
first Why increase the cost of the rank 3 essences people will have far mor important things to save the echos for like corruptions and visions.
second WHY WOULD YOU PUT THE CORRUPTIONS ON A ROTATION its needless rng that is slapped on a system in isnt needed for.

How about you don’t screw over mains that were never eligible to receive echos and are now ~30k behind? That easily buys me 2-3 corruptions on patch day.
How about you increase echo acquisition 10x instead of 5x?
A main here with all rank 3’s and stuck like many reporting at 0 . …I have alts with 5000 easy, so as of now this is a bad feeling and I’m just behind on my main, when my main was a head . . . .wtf
Blizz really take a look at this and just make a new currency or reset them all to 0 to even the playing field out.

But you learnt from this mistake with Titan Residuum and reset it. Why not do the same here?

Alternately, instead of proc’ing corrupted ilevel 335 blues, the game could wait until someone gets the cloak before it starts rewarding corrupted gear.
