Except they’re not balancing the cost based on the numeral value of corruption itself.
Gushing Wound will highly likely be a mid to high tier cost. And Masterful 3 would be between mid and high tier.
So yes, people will very likely be able to wear 40k worth of corruption realistically.

This. Blizz please… do something. This is ridiculous. People out there with literally 40k echoes who have done the same or less content than some of us with 0. They can buy a full corrupted set day 1, and more importantly NEVER risk not having enough for the corruptions they want when they are on the vendor rotation. Where as the rest of us might not be able to earn enough in time to get what we want soon as its available meaning we’ll have to wait for the next rotation and be weeks behind people who have these huge banks because of some arbitrary codeing that rewards them for not having all the essences before hand, not because they put in more effort than us.

We all come here playing this game for fun and one of the fun is a sense of achievement when you put out good DPS or healing. With corruption being so op and completely RNG, Ive seen ppl quit because their DPS is 10K behind other solely due to a single piece of gear. That frustration is real. I admit that’s not all this game is but to some ppl, it is and who’s to judge which is wrong right?
and another thing about the silly currencies we have…why would you increase the drop rate and then the cost as well? that makes zero sense to me.
See I made the mistake of buying essences for my alt specs like holy for example because I was like whats to lose these echos aren’t going to be used for anything else and thus since I bought all the essences I can’t earn any more echoes for a while now.
While other people could of just sat there building them up.
Fantastic news! Hopefully we can receive this very soon. I have spent a long time not getting the correct corruptions and I’m very ready to start being able to use my highest ilvl gear again. Just please make sure we can affix them to cleansed gear. Literally every piece I would corrupt is a cleansed item at this point; all I do for gear is M+.
They made a post saying they are making it so you CAN get echoes on your main dude. They already fixed the issue you are complaining about!
Will mythic chests tomorrow contain the 5x echoes?

That is NOT in the post. You are assuming they know this is an issue. Don’t assume blizzard knows anything about their customers.
this is the number 1 thing that needs fixing, otherwise this makes the system useless for the vast majority of players. now i’m willing to be patient because nothing on the first list looks super interesting to me, so I will be saving up my echoes anyways. but I hope this gets resolved sooner rather than later.
You really don’t seem to understand the problem. We weren’t able to get it for two months, meanwhile there are people who have been able to and have been stockpiling it. It’s punishing to the players who had no chance to get them at all.
I really hope they figure out how to recorrupt cleansed gear. Otherwise this is pretty much useless for a lot of people. Maybe they could give us the option of uncorrupted gear in visions and m+ chests?
And those that have not been allowed to earn them are usually the ones that push the game, did all they were asked to do in each patch and they get screwed - totally out of touch devs.
Great changes. However there is zero reason not to reset the currency at this point. The current implementation puts certain players at a massive advantage with people having accumulated 20-40k of the currency required to buy corruptions. Either reset the currency, multiply the amounts cost/acquired by 50x instead of 5x or just use a different currency.
Again great changes, but please don’t stuff up the implementation.
Plans to adjust the titan research tree or acquisition of Corrupted Mementos?
If we get a new character to Cloak 15 and have no research, we will be stuck running buckets of full clears to get the tools to run Masks.
Perhaps make Mementos available to purchase with Echoes, or cut the cost of research in half?
NO NO NO. We don’t need yet another currency in this game, we need less.
Why should mains be behind at all? Being 1-2 ENTIRE corrupt pieces behind is a massive gap, especially when those pieces are your best in slots.
