Honestly I think they should just make the essences cost 0 … since we all were asking for “account wide” essences anyways (but keep the “some main toon has to have rank 3 pre-req”).
Then they could safely zero out the echoes currency for everyone.

the more work that you put into the “main” that you cared so much about the more chances you will have already have to have received these corruptions. This actually already put your “main” at a huge advantage. so this buff isnt meant for your “main” end of story

What about the frustrated people who didn’t even get the chance to earn the currency because they were diligent enough to get all the rank 3 before the currency was put in the game? Why is the work value of people who didn’t have rank 3 more valuable than mine?
Is this tomorrow or next week? ‘upcoming’ week sounds like tomorrow?

Is there any possible way to give some retroactive echoes of Ny’Alotha to peoples’ main toons? My main has 0 of them, simply because it’s the toon I unlocked all of my essences on. My alts, on the other hand, have a pretty hefty surplus, because they really only needed a few essences anyway.

The currency is being devalued by 80%. That means you can catch up with 1/5 the effort to literally anyone.
You are 100% wrong. If someone has all rank 3 essences on their main already/before echoes were introduced, they also have been receiving 0 echoes this entire time. If someone doesn’t have a 120 alt, they get no echoes. It doesn’t matter how much they were or were not playing the game, they are getting arbitrarily screwed by poorly thought out game design.

And… there is a lot of folks that have done 100s of M+15s with 0 of the currency, because we already had rank 3 essences. We haevn’t been able to earn ANY currency even while playing the entire time.
Except when you get punished because you played more. Like that makes sense.
What don’t you get? There’s people who “EARNED” 40k essences too… but have 0. Because all the activities they did, the same as the ones the guy with 40k did, gave them 0, because they weren’t behind on essences in the first place. So you think that’s fair? Because they were never behind, they get screwed out of all the echoes they should have “earned” that other people earned because some arbitrary coding decision gave echoes to only certain people?
40k is enough to buy a full set of any corruption setup you want. Earning 40k is still going to take a fair bit of time at 5x, weeks (if I told you to go earn 6000 echoes in the next few days today, well goodluck to you haha). So people are now weeks behind on a currency because… they were dedicated mains and not behind in the first place… ya that makes sense.

So it is still RNG for buying the corruptions. Once you have saved up enough for whichever one you want, you then have to wait until whatever week the RNG roll of the dice decides to make it available. ???

I really don’t understand the cost increase for rank 3’s. Why increase the amount of echo’s we get just to up the price anyway
Wait, so I did a mistake by unlocking all essences on my main? Would I have been better off if I had purposely left 1 essence locked so my main could’ve been farming Echoing Visions this whole time? WTF?

Why not just make ALL corruptions purchasable based on item level scale?
T1 - 430-445 - 5,000
T2 -450-465 - 10,000
T3 - 470-490 - 35,000
Then at least people can get their corruptions that made them not be a class for five damn months.

Ah yes, me over here with my 3 expedients. I am at advantage over Johnny Awesome who doesnt play resto so he never got the essences and suddenly he gets BIS TD corruptions for his bear spec because ummmmmm wait what was your reasoning again?

You fail to understand that people wanted essences account wide for the sole purpose of not having to farm all the content all over again on their alts, so when echoes were released and people began playing their alts more often to gain those essences they wanted account wide they got the ‘equality’ as you put it because their alts were NOT ahead they are ALTS for a reason. So increasing the costs of essences negatively impacts the new players and alts even more when you have fresh 120s who NEED the essences to be able to be effective while also being forced to choose do you want BiS corruption or do you want the necessary essences.

And how exactly is this helpful? If I get 125 now, and it costs 500 to buy, and the numbers become 625 and 2500, all you did was multiply both cost and supply by 5. That doesn’t help the playerbase at all. By doing this, you aren’t helping the disadvantaged, you’re keeping the status quo.
