My Main has 0 echo’s better plan on dumping 100k echo’s on my account then
We are talking about 20% of the effort across like 3 months of gameplay. That means that you are like 3 weeks of gameplay behind. Not to mention the fact that it’s unreasonable that they are behind to begin with on the arbitrary basis that they actually put in the effort to get all their essences ahead of this system being brought in, and the developers then arbitrarily decided to tie more stuff to this system.

What don’t YOU get? If you have zero essences, that means you’ve channeled all of your play time into one character.
That means you already have all the essences. That means you already have all the corruptions. You already have done everything because we’re more than 5 months into a content drought.
This change is meant to make alts more palatable. It’s not meant to catch up everyone’s mains they shelved back in February to everyone’s who’s been playing the whole time.
Yet they still have more currency than me just because I put my work into completing my rank 3 essences.
I have no currency to be devalued whatsoever.
So you have all the rank 3 essences and they don’t.
So, I have a main with tons of Echos that I can’t use because I can’t buy an essence that I don’t already have rank 3 of.
It is still going to cost lots (even more) of Echos to get essences on my alts, which means more grinding of assaults.
I don’t see how this helps anyone at all unless I am misunderstanding.
what about all the people not earning echo’s on their main?

Great update with promising changes that will allow for more fun for the remainder of the expansion.
There are some feedback points, though, that I hope you will consider.

Some players who have put in effort into doing content and furthering their character are punished in an inadvertent way. Players who took the time to obtain all rank 3 essences available to them will not have been accumulating Echoes, while players who happen to play hybrid classes might have been earning them this whole time. It’s not a big point of contention for me personally, but it does seem like there is a good argument for resetting the currency. I would much rather have thousands of echoes carrying forward than the sphere of suppression I purchased, but haven’t equipped once. This is similar to the handling titan residuum increases/resets of the past, and I think it deserves addressing at the least. A minor annoyance, but legitimate flaw.
Does this mean that going forward we will not be able to cleanse items and apply vendor corruptions, or is this only for items cleansed before the update?
This is a bigger issue than it seems, because mythic plus players have no access to high item level pieces that aren’t already corrupted. Pieces from weekly chest are already extremely random(item slot, secondary stats, corruption), but for those wearing cleansed 475s who have equipped gouged eyes of Nzoth, that piece might now be dead. Not only is it a bummer to drop 10 ilvl to be able to apply a corruption, but many corruptions are dependent on ilvl which compounds the issue even more. On top of this some specs will be affected differently depending on the corruption budget. Some specs will have to sacrifice 10 ivl on two pieces for twilight devastation, while some will have to sacrifice the ilvl of many/all of their pieces for %stats or gushing wounds. I think it’s of extreme importance that this issue be understood and fixed.

Except it doesn’t. Corruption is so random that you can go months without seeing a specific one.

The reason why they introduced corruption vendor is the alleviate the abomination that’s RNG corruption drop.

So alts, who are likely way behind mains in terms of good corruptions due to probability, get to dive in and get a few while mains wait a few min.
Not seeing how this is a problem.
Some people want to make it harder for their and everyone’s alt because their main will take a a bit longer which is kinda dumb.
The technical difficulty so can’t apply them to cleansed items and the rotation are WAY more significant.
What are you talking about? “Already have all the corruptions” LMAO. Are you serious? There’s even 5k+ io MDI streamers and bleeding edge mythic raiders who complain don’t have all the corruptions they want. It’s friggin RNG, unless you have millions of gold to spend on the AH and even that is only for a few slots. I certainly don’t have all the corruptions I want and I’m 478 equipped on my main. Gotten 0 ineffiable truths, 1 gushing in the same slot as my other best corruptions, almost none of the stat corruptions I actually want, etc.
You actually believe every person who has 0 echoes because they weren’t allowed by the game to earn any, has multiple copies of every single corruption in the game to make the setup they want??? Hahaha.

Actually the “bank” of echos that players have earned thus far has been reduced by a factor of 5. It is now 5x easier for you to catch up when this system goes live to sumone that has a lead on you… I mean wow these are great changes blue is making and everyone is jumping up and down.
Another option would be to wipe echos when this system launches similar to what they did with titan residuum… that way those that have a bank of them can spend or not, if they don’t they get gold.
And, so what? Someone not having offspec rank 3 essences or rank 3 essences that are so garbage they wouldn’t ever use to begin with is irrelevant. Someone going into tomorrow and being able to buy 2-3 BIS corruptions immediately due to arbitrarily being excluded from something the developers later chose to lazily tie into other things is not irrelevant.

I don’t think so. Everyone I know that plays the game daily has several of each one and can move them around. I play a ton of characters, so I’m pretty constrained, but all the “one toon” guys I play with have what they need and have for months.
Anecdotal is anecdotal, but You’ve failed a 1/52 draw 50+ times at this point, you’re a statically anomaly worthy of study at uni and certainly not a sizable demographic.

people ignoring that on the MDI servers they have vendors with free gear that you can equip the BiS combination for any sort of situations…
this is why one of the many reasons why they shouldnt balance the game around “esports” your +2/+20 key wont be like you saw on the mdi ever.

You need to patch it so mains can get echos. I have all essences so I can’t get them.
