Targeted Corruptions and Faster Cloak Empowerment

Why’s that a problem? If you play one character you’re already caught up.

basically buy them at 500 echoes rather than 2500.

basic maths.

Are you just oblivious as to what’s going on? They’re rehashing the currency so you can buy corruptions to place onto gear. So people have been stockpiling the echoes and are now gaining a huge benefit for it, while people who could never get the echoes are being screwed over.

I’m not sure if a percentage matters. I’m a player that pushes 2k+ in pvp, does mythic raiding, and pushes key score.

Regardless of the players in that group being 1% or 20% - it is a loyal group of players… and getting the bad end of a stick doesn’t feel good to loyal players.

Its like when your internet provider offers deals for NEW customers only. Doesn’t’ feel good for the loyal customers.

Caught up on what? Corruptions? Do you know what I’m talking about? If you don’t, scroll to the top and look at what other people say. Main 0 alt 10000 echo. You can buy corruptions tomorrow on your alt but not your main. And if you play one character, you have 0 echoes.

I’m sorry, what huge benefit? They are also devaluing the currency by 80%, so stockpiling is worthless.

Solution - wipe echoes to zero on everyone but give everyone’s main all the essences at rank 3 (even the ones they didn’t earn).

Them making drops increase does nothing to the people who already have 40k+ stockpiled. That’s a huge advantage.

Not worthless there are people in my guild with 30-40k+echoes from consistently doing 15’s and their weekly content.

On the day this goes live they can buy 2x Rank 3 Twilight Devastations.

Do you see the problem?

Oh I agree with you guys, I think it should be zero’ed out to be fairer to everyone.

But if you play that much you are likely to have the corruption you need already or loot worth spending your echoes on.

Also percentages do matter. Implementing something that sucks for 1% of players is better than something that is awful for 100% or 95%.

But I do agree … there has been a sequence of bad decisions that have all led to this even worse one.

The complaint isn’t about the cloak. Yes, we’re all caught up on our cloaks. We still have zero echoes to use for the corruption items sold by MOTHER. That’s the problem.

Oh but someone might be able to buy one piece of gear a day before them.

A corrupted piece of gear is sometimes worth 5% of your total dps. 5% dps is a huge benefit when you didn’t get lucky on your main.

This is an issue in competitive PvP - even if you aren’t worried about it in a PvE setting.

So what. If they have been doing that many 15s, they sort of earned it anyway.

How is stockpiling worthless when people who stockpiled can buy numerous of the most expensive corruptions right off the bat?

And the people who have been doing 15s but have been unable to gain the currency deserve to be screwed over? Post on your main if you’re just going to troll on a lv12 Classic alt.

Is it even possible to have 40k stockpiled? I have done my chests and all assaults on 5 toons and I have like 25k across them all, I think my highest has like 6k.

I think you guys are making this out to be a bigger problem than it really is.

If someone does happier to have 40k echoes, they earned them. Devaluing was meant to even the field, not invalidate all the work people have already done.

Yes it is, I know of several people who have 40k personally and apparently so do other people posting in this thread. Again, so I deserve to be screwed over because I never had a chance to gain the currency?

I haven’t progressed enough in the end-game to know that, so ty for the info.

Also, 1 + 1 = 3.141592653, on cloudy days of course.
