The “requirements to upgrade the cloak” haven’t changed, but what about the weekly cap to catchup? Can we get a clear answer on this?
Would be nice if this was lifted, or even changed so that you can get 2x from visions and not have to beat the final raid boss to get it. Or even make it so that you can get it from LFR Nzoth, lol.
Imagine coming here crying about an alt catchup mechanics because your main that this system isn’t even designed for can’t benefit and so you wine and try to ruin it for everyone who wants this and it to be easy on our alts.
Instead of echos, it should just be a new currency. Maybe make a new NPC named DAUGHTER that sits next to MOTHER that sells all the ranks, she can even be too young to have a cycle.
I’ve ready every comment up to this point. Glad that most ppl hate that their main is suddenly behind on THOUSANDS of echoes. Just reset it Blizz. Do the right thing.
I am confused: what’s the point of increasing the earning rate for echoes only to increase the price of essences for the same factor? Doesn’t it leave the options exactly like they are now but with bigger numbers?
Shrug, they are changing the system and adding a lot to it. It seems odd to assume that they were considering these new changes back in Feb/Mar when they came up with Echoes as a way to catch-up on essences for alts.
My main has been clearing content since day 1 of the patch and had terrible luck with RNG for the corruption pieces, and now alts will be able to buy them out rite with currency that mains don’t have access to.
I am just confused as to why punish the people who have been unable to earn the echoes due to having all rank 3 essences and then making the cost of those essences go up with the increased rate of generation making you have to choose between “Do i want this rank 3 essence that i need for my new alt or do i want to buy this really nice corruption that i’ve wanted since i began receiving corrupted gear” In my opinion it’s a bad choice making people farm more to get something from a recent patch and that’s what is happening with the increased cost for the essences. Keep them at 500 so people can just buy the ones they need for their alts and don’t have to be FORCED to choose between that or corruption. Bad idea there Blizzard.
If the echoes were meant for the catch-up part, and a separate currency was meant for the corruption vendor part, then we wouldn’t be complaining. I have no problem with making the cloak catch-up easier. I have a problem with this character not being able to get Echoes at all, because I already had r3 essences before Echoes were introduced.
And echoes being the currency by which I can access different corruptions, which are not “alt-specific.”
This is great, although it would be nice to catch up with the extra resistance a little faster. Also, adding a Core to the PvP weekly would be appericated.
Having a BiS list is amazing, I can feel “complete” on a character again, yay!
But as always, this could lead to some clown fiesta stuff in Rated PvP. Keeping up with 3 gushing DHs is hard enough already, I really don’t want to fight into 6 gushing DHs or quadruple infinite star mage/rogue.
Maybe adding a Diminishing Returns to damage corruption in PvP wouldn’t be a bad change cause yeah… the TR is fast pace at 60 corruption resist for rank1 players. LFG is going to be a nightmare.
You’re going to increase the amount of echo’s earned and increase the cost of essences along with it. Where is the catch up? It’s like putting minimum wage to $15 and then increasing the price of everything you buy with your paycheck. Is that you Bernie?
The guy who was in the meeting to be like “what about people who haven’t been playing in 8.3 and don’t have 5000 echoes saved up?” … that guy MISSED the meeting where they were like “we cool with giving everyone the shaft that didn’t play in 8.2? Cool”.
