Tanks should be guaranteed

Congratulations, you have 6 combinations of secondary stats per ilvl for each piece of gear and spamming dungeons for a month gives you all possible gear you can get from them. You also now outgear almost all dungeon mechanics and can just burst stuff down.

To the forums! To complain about the game being boring, unrewarding and not challening at all.

I Agree, Tanks are the best! When you mess up and get hit, or dropping mitigate, you are usually get fixed up by a good healer really fast.

DPS get one shot to death if they mess up…
It’s hard to do perfect dps while doing mechanic you know…

For real. I can sorta tank aka grab threat and pull away from bad.

Healers. You gotta have 6 addons, 5 golden rings of power, 4 mana pots on cooldown, 3 years minimum experience, 2 mg of Valium, and 1 DPS with a Brez.

I’ve done both and tanking is infinitely less stressful than healing.

Tanking is relatively distinct and independent from anyone else in the group. Holding aggro is a cakewalk. The most difficult part of tanking is managing your cooldowns and damage mitigation, but even this is easy once you know the routine of a particular fight.

Healers, on the other hand, is a wild card role. Sometimes a groupmate’s health will be halved for no reason other than the boss has a heal check mechanic. Add this to the fact that you’re balancing 20+ players’ health bars, many of which aren’t paying attention to the fight’s mechanics 60% of the time, as well as managing your mana, and you have a cocktail of stress that most players would likely crumble under because some guy wants to blame you for not healing him through the bad thing he’s not supposed to stand in.

Healers have it bad and I sympathize with them on almost every level. Not only do they have the hardest role, but you also have people who play it down because tanks are perceived to be the hardest all because they’re technically leading the group.

Tanks are all about muscle memory. Healers have to adapt to pretty much any given situation on a whim.

I’ve done both.

I don’t think healing is harder unless the group is … special.

I don’t pug though, we’re good.

Perhaps they could do it like this:
1 is will always go to either the tank or the healer and the other always to the dps.

It sucks to run a dungeon as a tank who have to constantly fix the crap dps do or as a healer who has to constantly burn through every cd to save those dps who seem to actually take pleasure in taking avoidable damage and breaking mechanics only to have the worst players getting stuff.

Earlier this week I went on my resto druid on a mythic dungeon and well, my sunfire alone put me in 3rd place in dps, with the tank first and another dps in second. The other two were performing below my freaking sunfire.

There was this paladin who was thrown of the map on the last part of Mists every single cast.
The rogue who would not make an effort to break the link.

Guess who are the two that got most items? Certainly not the Tank and I. We left empty handed. This has been going on a lot since I started doing mythics, bad players getting all the crap while severely underperforming and making the run bad to everyone else.

It’s frustrating.

I have more stress tanking.

Must know route and must pull faster, faster, faster.

Then keep yourself alive, because trusting healers playing red line is stressing.

Especially since I’m not 100% on the routes.

I’ll just say if the lowest dps got the most loot I’d be swimming in it.

I’m not.

That’s part of your issue.

Once you’re good to go with the routes and fights, tanking becomes muscle memory & second nature.

I have memory problems, I’ll never be 100% on the routes. And there’s always someone that pulls for me. -_-

No she misspelled DPS, :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

and DPS even more, you think your tank & healer dps is gonna melt face fast enough to beat timers? hahaha

okay, so lets assume they did this. tanks get geared and move on to harder content now what are the healers and dps whom dont have any tanks supposed to do? :man_shrugging:t2:

This also leads to multiple tanks quing for harder content but then not being able to find equally geared healers or dps

weird way to spell healers.

Hmmm idk ive never had that problem healing as pally or monk. Sometimes i just shake my head when ppl do crazy stuff but usually ive got something in the kit to solve it.

I guess my point is more so tanks have much more prep prior to the dungeon than the other roles. They also cant be brain dead during the run or stuff goes haywire

As a pally tank with word of glory i seem to be able to help the healer out with spot healing ppl during high dmg things, but granted i havent had time to get i to keys yet so am not fully up to snuff

Tanks deserve nothing

Neither do dps either.

We do not do the most work. Don’t be ā€œthat personā€.

Since you can’t time a M+ solo you are just a cog in the wheel … this is from a tank.
