Like you said, your’e learning… you’ll learn to keep up. This is just how it is and has been for the last sixteen years or so… M+ didn’t start this, nerfing the game back in TBC did. Everything went to faceroll, speed run after that.
Kinda wish people would be forced to post on retail characters when not on the classic part of the forums.
Okay, you found a single mob in a single dungeon that has something that needs ti be secured and you told people about it.
Grats
I can point out more if you would like me to continue to make you look like an idiot.
Why? Who cares? Browsing my achievements you’re going to find a lot of KSM and higher, with a smattering of AOTC when I feel like raiding.
The character I post on makes zero difference to the completely unbiased fact that there’s not an actual issue here.
Tanks must pull at a quick rate to beat timer. If dps is low, we have to pull faster. If dps is strong, we have more wiggle room, but again….timer.
Alllll the rest of us did it when others were learning so pacing wasn’t breakneck and extremely hard to learn in, it’s kind of a completely different ballgame now, and honestly any time i tank i’m defo willing to slow down for a sec if the healer is struggling, better they figure themselves out and are ready for that pace later than continue stagnating their growth because “I had to learn, so do you!”
I mean you’d have to start making me look like an idiot before containing to do so.
It’s a 20 year old mmo with a new expansion. Some people want to actually play the game, not watch a video and copypaste without a single thought. “I’m so good, I watch video and do what it say, git gud like me”
At +2 the timer is such a non factor that unless your dps are somehow pulling DF numbers you’re going to beat it unless you die several times (which, a bigger pull, more random AoE splatters and swirlies that random dps might step in, killing them before the new healer can get their bearings in an environment that actually hurts players instead of tickling them) is the cause of, funnily enough.
I already did. You said there are no trash mechanics. I gave an example showing that there are, in fact, mechanics in trash pulls. But, sure, die on the hill rather than admit that you don’t know what you’re talking about.
I learned in BFA.
I picked WoW back up after missing mop, wod, and legion.
I learned the hard way. Anyone can do it. No need to slow down because a handful of forum sock puppet posters demand that we do.
Idk, i just get selfish vibes from that, personally. takes a few extra minutes to give them a chance to get their bearings, i’d ask the same for any new tanks entering M+ for the first time, where the jump now is pretty significant compared to the old system
and i think that might be where the issue is really, we removed M+ 1-10, and just expected any new players to jump straight into the fire now where things are actually hitting pretty hard all things considered, you could easily learn at a pretty reasonable pace even with higher pulling tanks in pre DF S4 M+, not really a thing now.
I know exactly what I’m talking about. In the content this player would be crying about the pacing, there is literally zero trash mechanics.
None.
No one is going into mythics wanting people to slow down. They aren’t even going to make it that content playing with that mentality and that’s the only content that trash mechanics would matter.
Good.
I play this game for my enjoyment, not yours.
If a group is moving too fast, leave. Start your own group. Let everyone know how you want to play before assuming that everyone should play the way you want them to.
He plays classic. Some bosses didn’t have mechanics.
Finding out that some trash in modern dungeons have mechanics might blow his mind.
I play The War Within exclusively.
Okay yeah, this is where you’re not worth listening to anymore, it’s an MMO, if the whole group isn’t enjoying themselves, then the purpose is gone.
Please continue enjoying SoD and your own mythic groups, but your opinion is just irrelevant as far as i’m concerned if you only think of yourself, others be damned.
Irony?
I’ve watched plenty of groups wipe in heroic Meadery because they weren’t careful with the trash.
The overall point of the thread is that the tank sets the pace, and that pace is dictated by the DPS and the healing. If there isn’t enough DPS, you have to slow down. If the healer is getting overwhelmed, you have to slow down. Tanks who fail to do this aren’t tanks, they’re idiots.
