Tanks are completely broken right now in PvP

Yes. It is. Every bear can provide you screen shots with sleeper doing the vast majority of their damage. We’re not exaggerating when we say sleeper does most of our damage - blame the randoms who zero in on a bear and shut their brains off. You can even whisper me in game if you want to test out the damage you take from it. I can guarantee that you will chunk yourself without the bear actively hitting you (you wouldnt waste CDs on a bubble, why waste them on sleeper?)

You as a rogue have the distinct advantage against tanks. Especially bears. Tanks are kited, CC spammable and vulnerable to burst damage more so than everyone else outside of defensives. Force them to pop defensives and reset the fight. We’re only impossible to kill during our CDs (where yours makes you do a ridiculous amount of damage, ours lets us soak it).

Meh

Why is not on for ‘tanks’ to pvp

But is ok for

Warlocks and mages, who are more tanky than tanks, have way more cc, and deal higher DPS to be allowed?

Focus on tankier does classes before you folks complain about ‘tanks’

The thing is I’m not unkillable in 1v1. I stated before I’ve been killed by numerous classes. If I was unkillable then sure but that’s not the case. Many warriors, dh, dk and even well timed rogues with stun/bursts have taken me down 1v1 without my sleeper ability up.

The reason I love guardian (in random bgs. as I know in rated bgs ppl will know to not attack during sleeper) is stated by the poster above. It’s people shutting their brains off and just attacking without paying attention. I just run into a large group of 5-8, cast a few damage mitigation abilities, wait for them to focus me and cast sleeper. Only maybe one person in that group will stop attacking me while that ability is active. The smart one :joy: lol. The rest just focus all effort on me and zero in on me and try to burst me down, all almost dying the process while I remain healed. It’s a 10 second window that does 80-90% of my damage. Just as stated before. If you wouldn’t attack a pally during his bubble the same needs to be applied for guardian. If nobody attacked me during sleeper you wouldnt see a single guardian anywhere near top of damage or healing charts

Folks that live in random BGs often turn their brains off when it comes to tanks. In my case as bear - they will sit on me all game when I have cds up or position myself next to a healer. Then they wonder why I’m top heals or damage.

For some reason - a tanks hidden player taunt ability is global and still works after a BG ends

Only Blood dks are “unkillable” in 1v1 at the moment (only against melee that can’t reset a fight ie warriors)

The fact of the matter is - the average pvper smashes their face against the keyboard and hopes to win. The average tank smashes their defensives whenever that happens. Most competent pvpers bait out defensives and reset or spread out their damage to force a defensive and then bursts/cc chains.

Rogues has a cheat death everything is fine…A Tank gets a cheat death…RoaaaorMurglgllglglglglglglglgl.

Rogue logic.

Yes that is how we achieve balance. The game isn’t balanced around 1v1. Tanks are supposed to be able to 1v3 and hold their own. So it’s only natural they are the Alphas of 1v1.

The only thing that should beat a Tank in a 1v1 is another Tank. It’s like 2 Titans fighting.

Tanks still need to be buffed in regards to mitigation. Possibly revert the increase damage taken. Then they would heal less and can focus on better builds.

Disagree tanks should not be able to 1v3 equally geared and skilled players. They should however be able to last long enough for backup to bail them out. No help means they should die shortly after not having any CDs left

Game isn’t balanced around 1v1 so I don’t really care what happens in that regard /shrug

Agreed. That’s how it was in shadowlands. Can’t 1v1 but can last long enough for backup to arrive. Especially for rbgs, flag sitting or running

And it’s still the same so long as you don’t aren’t attacked during sleeper. Only difference is we can last a little longer now

B/c DF PvP is trash.

A little OT, but BigDebuffs is generating a bunch of errors on my end, and judging from the comments at this addon’s webpage… I’m not the only one. It’s basically unusable. Unfortunately, without it, I’m less likely to catch certain things.

Warlocks always make me laugh with how they are essentially tanks with top damage. They are still killable though.

I saw a Demo lock out in the area of the WM quest and decided not to attack (because I would die without a doubt). I had been there awhile and watched several other players attack people as they attempted to down the Elite… They all just stood by until the Demo Lock finished the quest and left unbothered by the 3 WM flagged players perched all around…

I thought to myself… This paints a pretty clear picture of the perception of Demo Lock in PvP atm…

That’s how strong Tanks should be. They should be feared opponents where you need friends to take them on.

Tell me the part where sleeper can be dispelled like bubble?

Sleeper lasts far too long for what it does. Increased survivability, increased damage, thorns… Okay…

It is just too much. Guardian druids need to deal less damage, that’s it. They can keep their tankiness.

Wish all tanks took 50% increased damage from all sources.

They currently take 60% increased damage from all sources lol

Currently tanks can be one shot by shams
Die in stun to a rogues super bleed
Deleted by that pewpew lazer beam from DHs

The only thing I’d change about sleeper is making it more obvious for people to see, increase the cooldown to 1.5mins or removed the damage mitigation

With a damage nerf across the board this would be a good compromise.
One or the other. If they feel that damage is mandatory, increase the damage coming in.
CC and Mitigation will allow them to focus on objectives, what they should be doing imo.
Running around like a damage dealer/heavy mitigation rewards sloppy players too much.
Which is what’s happening now.

Reading through this thread, the replies seem to be:

  1. Non Tanks: Yes. They’re overpowered
  2. Tanks: We’re fine! Learn to play losers
  3. Guardian Druids: Don’t touch us. Learn to play losers… (lol).
