That didn’t work in any other iteration of wow. The only thing that made tanking more popular is making it as brainless as the other roles.
No.

Yes people hearth and respec. That is exactly what should happen and be maintained. This has a cost in both gold and time. Duel spec dose not have that resulting in the removal of this element. This removal changes the dynamic massively. This results in a massive change to the dynamic of if that person will maintain and be willing to use another spec.
If you want ease of play and instant gratification go back to retail. We are playing tbc to play tbc not to play retail. If you don’t want to put in the effort to respec and as such pay the cost don’t respec or go back to retail. Tbc dose not need and should not have a shortcut to cut out the cost of time and gold when respecing, aiding in the removal of your class and spec identity and one of the core elements of tbc raids roster management.
Yeah… no. People who want to tank and heal will tank and heal without it. This is a community created problem, and you can fix it. Respec prot if you aren’t. If you give me any BS that you don’t want to, mah arms or mah fury. Then you really don’t really want to tank.
I have a feral druid on Alliance that tanks. I have a Prot pally that tanks. On Horde I have a Prot warrior and I have another druid I’m working on. Guess what I don’t need to be a tank? Dual spec.
Is funny because I have every tank class maxed in ffxiv lol only dps I have is dragoon lol
Only true solution is a change in community attitudes. When I tried ffxiv, I happily leveled a warrior. Was surprisingly fun. Had a blast, community was helpful, patient and understanding. Despite this, it’s still an in-demand role like any other MMO
When I picked up WoW again, I did deadmines on a new warrior. I had fun in ffxiv, why not try it here? Welp, the rogue basically decided to tank since I was too slow or something. Made for a rather awkward run. I thought, why even bother?
That said, I wouldn’t mind dual spec.
I would gladly tank on this Paladin if I had someone to group with for like first 15 quests of outlands to get me some upgrades lol but lvling prot is ruff
Nah. More like “I have to have X dps spec for dungeons, and Y dps spec for raids!”
Posting on my original TBC paladin. Not sure why people don’t play more of them. TBC hybrid shock’a’tank was amazing for taking towers in world pvp and knocking out dungeons. Eventually had to switch to full holy in order to raid but for these early days ROCK ON.
Rolling alliance buccaneers for a change of scenery. /salute
It’s fine to me. Paying 50g to a solid tank to spend an 30-60 minutes in a heroic is worth it for me. Meanwhile my mage is making 100g per 30 minutes when farming.
well since a group is 20% tank and 80% not tank… maybe not a tiny portion but it wouldnt need to be a large portion.
I don’t think that having to farm 100g per week to raid and pvp is compelling gameplay though. The alternative is to be sub par in one or both which is simply not fun at best or frustrating and leads to less play time at worst
Nowhere in your incoherent rambling, was a speck of truth or logic found. You are awarded no points, and may god have mercy on your soul.
I’m confused, what are you saying “no” to? Are you ok? Are you the leading blizzard dev that makes the final decision on matters of tbc classic qol changes?
Try not being bad at the game then lol. Just take experienced players advice and better yourself/move faster. The tank role is a service role, you are there to help them, not the other way around.
One of us.
One of us.
One of us.
Retail is not better. Retail queues are better. Stop being eyeroll dumb.
So if we take everything that is “better” about retail and put it in classic, why play classic again?
Is calling people names the new way to refute arguments now? That’s probably from retail, too. Does it help you to insult people instead of discuss/argue ideas?
I mean, do you actually get people to reconsider their viewpoints by calling them names? Or are you just angry and being rude because you feel like it?
It’s the community for me personally. I quit 2 weeks in(2 days ago). Constantly catering to noob melee’s ripping aggro by going ham right after pull or shammy healers throwing out a chain lightning as I’m LOS’ing to group mobs…and I’m a prot warrior. Rather than get arthritis mashing all my skills to maintain the mobs, panicking trying to save everyone, and plainly just having to work harder than everyone else I quit. When these people wipe the group I don’t see any of them paying for my repairs (bc prot warriors are great farmers of gold). It was all just too much for me, and I shouldn’t be stressing out over a game I was looking forward to play – or dread logging in bc a lot of the idiots friended me and would hound me to tank for them. The only way to kick the addiction was to give all my money away for free, so if I had the urge to login it would diminish quickly bc I would remember I’m a poor tank.
there is already plenty of change in the game that didnt exist back in the days
so just making game more playable wouldnt hurt
And by discuss, you mean say “go back to retail”, right? I’m sure you’re doing that without a modicum of intent to insult either. :Eyeroll:
You have no intent to discuss or change position, I’m just replying in kind. Any time anyone says go back to retail it is an immediate rebuke of any semblance of discussion as well as a (thinly) veiled insult. You know as well as us that tbc with lfg is not remotely comparable to retail, so why say it other than to stifle discussion of something you personally don’t want?
