Maybe this doesnt exist? People look at parses, people look at what class you play, people judge you and don’t know you. Is this what this game has become? Where are all of the teams out there that value the player and not the class? Where are all of the places where you can learn and grow? Where are the places where you can dabble in Mythic…learn who you are as a gamer? This isn’t a business…this is a game.
Who am I you are asking? I am just a positive gamer looking for a home. I love to say good morning, I love to ask people if they need help…I love tanking. I try to dps…but mostly I love the game. I love to feel like I am helping and I want to feel like a person and not # 19 on a raid team. There has to be other people out there like that right? I have 7/8H exp on multiple toons but hopefully that doesn’t matter too much?
I play all the tanks. I currently am in a love affair with a DK and a Pally. I want to be a part of something. I want to matter…I want to make friendships that last.
Sad part is: I can only raid 2 days a week…from 8 est to 11 est. Maybe it’s because my times don’t line up? I just love the game and really want to find that special feeling. Raiding:
The guild is progressing through heroic currently 7/8 having the boss at 37% P3 and looking for a Mage, DH, Monk and all healers/tanks! Our Prog group heroic times are 9pm EST on Tuesday’s and 10pm EST Friday’s.
Also have spots in our second raid group for individuals looking to get into raiding and looking for a group to start with. While also being able to progress and reach the point to joining the prog heroic team. All teams will be doing heroics. This day is Wednesday 8pm EST until 10:30.
Mythic+:
Currently for the heroic team we are asking individuals to hit their 2k io score as a requirement, you do not have to do this alone! Many individuals including myself are looking to assist individual in climbing mythic+!

Also, parses are not the only thing that matters but when it comes to completing and progressing content it is important for players to pull their weight and show steps towards improvement. I think the reason people get impatient is because many players are unwilling to actually work on improvement and then it drags down the group. That’s also a frustrating position to be in so I can understand both sides a bit.

If I may suggest, the beauty of wow today is they offer an array of play levels to align with different individuals goals. The higher you go, the more things like parses matter if you want to succeed. We all enjoy playing games, but few enjoy getting stuck in the middle of a game and spending the next 6 months trying to defeat one boss. Most guilds care about assembling a group that can help them accomplish a shared goal. If you find a guild that has the same goals as you, then you may have more fun than it sounds like you having. A normal raid guild may align better?
Hey sloth! I think my rag tag group of friends might be what you’re searching for. We do raid 5pm to 7pm which is 8pm EST to 10pm EST on Thursdays and Fridays. However this is changing to Wednesdays and Thursdays in December. While we do look at parses, we are judging people. We look at them, and we help each other improve. We dont bicker at one another and we value spending time together and having fun. We are currently 4/8 Heroic, and we do have a tank spot available!

But maybe I should say I have no problem parsing greens / blues. But without a home I am stuck playing a ton of toons to find a fit. I have multiple AOTCs over 15+ years. 7/8H this tier so I’m not a scrub, but the wow community sure can make you feel like it.
Hey Jason, your post is so relatable! That’s why when I came back to game this expansion from an extended hiatus we re-imagined our guild as casual +. Our goal is simply AOTC and if the team wants to dabble in Mythic we will, but no pressure. We’re more focused on building friendships and having fun in/out of raid. Not sure what days you’re available, but our heroic team runs Thurs and Fri 8-11p est. We also have an optional alt/fun run of normal on Tues. Sounds like you might be a good fit for us.
I run a small casual EST Alliance social guild on Proudmoore and we are a social guild that’s more of a community that we have built over the years and we are both new and returning player friendly. Our main thing is we enjoy doing stuff together as a group to help each other out and have fun more than just doing content for the sake of it. We also enjoy helping each other out whether that’s gearing up, running for transmog, or helping with an alt and as a social group we are also pretty much always on our discord when we are on.
