System whiners got their wish

The game wasn’t fun, Brewa. That was the entire problem. It doesn’t matter if you have an ocean of content if it sucks.

Catch up gear isn’t going away it’s literally a quality of life feature.

why do guys keep saying we got profressions what makes you think people will do boring profressions. heck shadowlands had professions you could of made legendaries all expansion long and made bank yet the majority of people just ignored that lol.

Except… Dragonflight doesn’t.

Probably because the playerbase has made it very clear that they have NO INTEREST in doing content that isn’t related to player power.

Which comes back to the main point - what are people going to be doing in Dragonflight besides dungeons/raids/pvp? Answer: Nothing.

If that’s all they want to do anyway, then let them do it. The devs shouldn’t place pointless systems to slow them down from doing it.

They read the “professions will craft top-end gear” without reading the fine print that the person wearing the gear had to do M+ or raids to get the parts to be sewn together.

Nothing?!

They are literally developing outdoor content for those of you that asked for it.

boom…THERE ya go.
Dont know why some cant figure this out. Ive been pretty clear with analogies but some still keep missing the point.

Dough, tomato sauce, Mozzerella, pepperoni.
Do it right and I have a great lunch to eat.
Screw it up, SAME ingredients, and its a burnt brick that a hog wouldnt eat.

Blizzard has the ingredients.
They just cant seem to get the heat in the oven right to make a decent pizza with them.

Yes, let them do it. All I’ve been saying is there should also be ways for players to progress their characters outside of those activities and the previous expansions systems filled that role.

I am generally just having fun. I know I havnt done the raid yet, but two toons at lvl 70. Its fun to just log in, mess around and search for glyphs. Just my opinion of course, but Im loving it!

But sure take what I said as a great lie and false statement when what I am saying is true and is on the beta and people are not covering it.

didnt you have to run raids to get the mats to make anything of real interest, though?
I dont want to run raids. At all. Give me low level stuff to make and good content that I want to run to get it. STOP trying to force me to raid.

But it didn’t fill it well. It sucked. None of the borrowed power systems have been at all fun to engage with, and it all felt like I had a gun to my head to do dailies even if I wasn’t technically being forced to do it. A lot of people felt this way, which is why it had to go. It made the game a chore instead of a playground.

I wouldn’t mind these discussions so much if people didn’t mis-use the term “borrowed power” so much.

Borrowed power refers to the things going away at the end of the expansion. Not to the AP grind.

Nobody was using the term “borrowed power” in Legion when we were grinding AP for 2 years, for example. The term didn’t even exist until the artifact weapons went away at the end.

And this is one way how to create a good MMO. Don’t cater towards 0.01% player base. Make game casual friendly, and let casual actually be able to get good gear

I can call it whatever you want me to call it, I still don’t like it.

AP was created for casual players. As a reaction to their complaints that WoD was centered around raids and pvp.

And which Ion admitted they have neglected the none vocal majority.

I think of borrowed power as something like the Legion weapon, as you mention.
Not sure if it was used then or not.
Maybe Legion set off the hatred for the concept but it didnt get a name till BFA ?

My ex wife said ‘yes’ and wore the ring for 12 years and that was a nightmare waste of time to.
Just because they made it ‘for’ us dont mean its good content or anything we’re going to like

so…give us mindless trash busy work to shut us up so Ion can focus on his raiding anyway.
No thanks.
