Nevertheless, I’ve devised an abridging of the speculation to suit your taste.
Arthas kills the Maw leader under the Jailer {not the right-hand, more like how Kilrogg was the Tanaan leader} and raises him as a Death Knight. Then, the Jailer and the covenant leaders team up to kill whoever Arthas summoned to Torghast’s Apex. That’s the raid and then the Shadowlands are at peace. But Arthas gets zapped back to Lordaeron where he heralds the Second razing of that continent. Its a full invasion of Death on Azeroth.
Quel’thalas and the Azuremyst Isles will also finally be fly-zones.

I think they misunderstand my statement of the Sylvanas being written to be hated. I think they believe I am saying we are forced to hate her against our will. However I am not talking about our characters but the Horde players themselves. They wanted to make Sylvanas hated so it could be easier to write her off like they did Garrosh although Sylvanas had, and still has more fans then Garrosh. That is in part due to Garrosh being written poorly from the start back in TBC.

Na, it’s not cuz garrosh was poorly written. Its cuz syl has boobs. That’s it. The only reason she has fans lol.

So how exactly was this Not "Garrosh 2.0?"

Had a week to set in and…nope, still kinda meh on how the big world war setup ended with Sylvannas screwing up and screaming she hates the horde in her atmosphere rending volume in front of Orgrimmar. Then blasting off like Team Rocket. But really, I’d like an answer on how they could say, with a straight face, that this definitely wouldn’t turn into a Garrosh 2.0? We’ve had that repeated, expounded on with stuff like “Sylvannas would never let herself be put into that kind of situation”…

But yes, she was totally Garrosh 2.0, the entire expansion was really MoP re-skinned as someone in the other thread mentioned. Beat for beat, the horde’s story is pretty much identical and even in the same order most of the time. BFA has clearly been a filler expansion, with all the plotholes and bad characterizations and obvious rush jobs. Hoping the extra time on Shadowlands improves things I guess
