Which is a huge shame because a character in her position should be anything but boring. She has massive potential as being deep, multi-layered, conflicted but so far none of that is there at all. Even if you read the books where you get a look into her mental workings she just comes off as a self-obsessed narcissist dictator.

Actually that’s why Vader did it but not why Palpatine did it. Palpatine only wanted absolute power for himself, he was well aware that what he was doing was evil but he didn’t care.

I’ve never understood why they would even want to reproduce. If anything, they should want to be struck down, so they can enjoy the peace of death that they were previously denied when they were turned undead. The only thing that could be more appealing than that, would be to become alive again. And good luck there.

I tend to agree, since so many of them talk about undeath being a curse, but since the defense is “but Sylvanas just doesn’t want her people to die out!” I feel it’s important to point out there are ways to achieve that which don’t require being a murdering psychopath.

Napoleon was never evil. He was just a better commander and won over his enemies hence they were all just bitter and calls him evil. All the other leaders of his time are just like him. It was an age of conquest. He just did it better.
