Sylvanas turning bad is too depressing

Yet this video gave me hope!

The gist of what the guy is saying is that the Jailer is actually the real villain that would have started sucking souls into the maw anyway, and that Sylvanas is playing along…for now. Perhaps she plans to set our souls all free from the Jailer in the end.

Anything is possible. Thoughts??

I dunno. I find her pretty boring.

It is why Sylvanas is probably the only character deserving of the did nothing wrong meme.

It was clear from the start she had a serious personal plan with a long term goal, it wasnt childish racism like Garithos and Garrosh who pandered to emotion with bs like muh strength, muh supremacy etc or morons like Arthas and Sargeras who when encountered a problem their idea was to KILL EVERYTHING, simplistic and stupid.

Meanwhile Sylvanas has a smart plan, gets what she wanted and has a LOGICAL reason for it, unlike the emotion based villains like Garrosh.

Cant wait to learn more about her plan.

My people can’t breed, so lets kill everyone. Makes perfect sense to me.

I’ve never really understood why the Forsaken need to murder people to reproduce. People still die on Azeroth. Surely they could just…take volunteers? Give them little body donor cards that say “If found dead, please deliver my corpse to the Banshee Queen for revival as a Forsaken.”

Have you been playing a different version of the story to the rest of us? That’s literally what Sylvanas does. Her plan is for everyone to die to feed the maw and make the Jailer and thus herself stronger.

Except for when she decided to burn down teldrassil after being triggered by Delaryn’s words. Or when she blurted out a big “F you!” to the entire horde after a few words from Saurfang. Yeah, pure logic.

The attempts from people to still try and paint her as a hero is getting ridiculous at this point. They have gone to utterly blatant lengths to tell us she is not our friend; “You are all nothing!” is pretty clear cut. Why do so many of you still think she didn’t mean you?

Sylvanas has always been bad. Why are you & far too many others just noticing this now?

She was actually always evil.

From day one of Classic, literally in the description of the handbook up all the way until now.

Evil Sylvanas is cool Sylvanas. Although I’m tired of her. Just write a book on her and be done. I’m tired of having characters thrown in our face and 100% of what we’re doing is about them.

We didn’t really like that with Illidan. We didn’t like that with Thrall. We don’t like that now.

That is a means to an end, we have yet to learn of the end.

Meanwhile Sargeras: “Oh noez big bad voidlords wtf, must destroy entire universe”
Arthas: “Oh noez big bad legion and old gods, must kill everyone in azeroth to protect azeroth”
Garrosh: “Muh great Orc supremacy days, we strong, we better danothers, me dumb racist, haha me strong lets kill all because im insecure”

There is great satisfaction to be taken by proving someone wrong, plus now that Malfurion survived she did have to do something big, so win win really.

That’s not edgy enough for undead players.

It’s a fantasy game world, not a genuine piece of literature.

Don’t think too hard about this lore, don’t hold the lore to high standards. Anything else deserves higher standards, Harry Potter’s version of Earth has more standards than Azeroth, as well as continuity.

Azeroth is made up by default… just for the sake of the game. Harry Potter was written alongside the world and hence it’s higher standard. It used genuine worldbuilding.

Azeroth was made by 80s metal fans who had a lot of time on their hands from playing D&D to make up over emphasized lore for the world, literally not giving a damn about higher standards of worldbuilding.

Chris Metzen just threw things together. “Panda people? That’s epic. Lets base them off of China.”

Warcraft was 90% visual worldbuilding and 10% character placement, come Warcraft 3.

It’s just a game. This isn’t on par with Tolkien.

It hardly requires “on par with Tolkien” to pass the evil overlord’s “can a 5 year old child spot the flaw?” test.

Oh right. So Sylvanas wants to kill everyone for her own reasons and that’s fine. But these other characters wanting to do it for their own reasons is silly and bad. Great. Nice consistent reasoning there.

Metzen? Nah, man. They’re Didier’s baby.

I really wish Blizzard would do away with the links to youtube videos so we don’t have to see every persons click bait video because they think they’re gonna be a youtube star someday

It’s pretty amazing that they allow anyone to post youtube vids but simply posting a link is reserved for the level 3 folk.

Sylvanas was always evil dude.

What was actually bad was seeing that somehow Sylvanas has become the Legendary Super Saiyan and can tank multiple tons of Saronite, physically throw tons of Saronite, Fire off insta kill death beams, and just fly free form while also no longer being a tactician and instead being a frontline fighter who twirls her mustache and laughs, throwing all caution to the wind about trying to stay alive.

Sylvanas is truly dead now, every enjoyable part of her character has been killed off and I pray to god that they don’t pull that whole “She was the good guy all along and saved the world and revived all the dead and now everyone loves her and forgives her because she is just so great and awesome and coooo~”

She is the hero all along. Not necessarily the typical angel/good/holy type of hero but hero nonetheless.

FOR THE DARK LADY :smiling_imp:

Yeah because killing the entire universe or Azeroth to “save” it makes total rational sense.

We have their motivations and they were retarded, meanwhile we dont have the end goal of Sylvanas yet but i am pretty sure it isnt anything like the above stupidity.

How can you, an MVP, say something so brave, controversial, and… and… true?

That may prove true. Doesn’t mean it will be in any way good, or heroic, or in anyone’s best interest other than her own.
