Sylvanas: official traitor to the horde

Are you implying my character who supports Sylvanas is not part of the Horde? lmao

Alright, if you say so

yes, that is what the quest line is implying lmao.

Don’t be naive. She’s just moved into dimension 5 of her game of chess.

And to think of all the times i argued with Sylvanas fans trying to persuade them that she did not in fact care about the horde, at all.

You’re assuming her supporters ever thought she was truly Horde.

I did, and I fully supported it. LOL

Yep, this.

It’s not like the Horde ever respected or obeyed her as warchief anyway. Both sides have been annoying each other the whole time.

It’s good to see the split…And to see Saurfang dead. I guarantee it plays right into Sylvanas’ hands to have them all united against her.

The Horde is nothing because traitors like Saurfang keep undermining any authority/attempts to solidify it.

Sylvanas is one-hundred percent correct here.

It’s nothing because it’s principles are whack and hypocritical. It literally does stand for nothing.

Drinking all of this in. :grinning:

Quite hilarious considering that the people who said they support the Horde are now required to go up against her.

We’ve had no options to assist her in the story, so the writers have made everyone back her into a proverbial corner.

It’s really funny to think about, hearing people say, “She never was for the Horde!” when the Horde never was for Sylvanas. We, whether we want to or not, have been undermining her authority since day one. I’d betray the betrayers too. Wouldn’t you?

I’d quit that job too.

Not true. Apparently, it stands for “honor”.

Oh, wait, Saurfang admitted to not knowing what honor actually was… then what the heck was he talking about all this time?..

Was he just using ‘honor’ as some sort of buzzword to get orcs to back him against Sylvanas?.. Wait a second, in that “path of glory” bit that he talked about, wasn’t that using “honor” as a thin veil to justify what the Orcs were doing?

So then, using “honor” to drive the stake, wasn’t Saurfang doing exactly what he berated the fel-blood Orcs for doing?

Weird.

At least with Sylvanas I’m not politically-correctedly lied to. I just get to burn trees.

More like:

She’s not as big of a blatant hypocrite.

“I trusted you.”

Yeah, considering she’s been betrayed at just about every turn by people who had originally proclaimed to dislike the Alliance nearly as much as she did, I’d be upset too.

Betraying someone’s trust is about the worst thing you can do to someone from a psychological standpoint. It makes them more distrustful in general, and at some points into paranoia.

If I had my entire A-list of leaders betray me because I did everything in my power to destroy the faction they allegedly dislike, I’d have some issues too. I’m pretty sure anyone would’ve.

“The Horde is nothing” comment actually makes sense when you think about it that way. And, would you look at that, the moment she said it, the Forsaken right next to Sylvanas betrayed her too.

It’s almost like at every turn that kind of mentality is supported in Sylvanas’ mind. She’s constantly being betrayed because she didn’t play nice with the blue team.

And yes, I realize Tel was burned and I’m being blase’, but you get the point. From a Horde perspective, it really shouldn’t bother many that the tree was burned down. Night Elves have been killing Orcs for years. The Forsaken harbor no love for the Night Elves (done some questing in Classic Felwood and let me tell you how much the Forsaken dislike those Elves. I turned a cat into a green demon-well monster just to see if we could use it against the Alliance. That certainly wasn’t brought up in BFA). Tauren? Sure. Trolls? Those guys scalp people. Blood Elves? They couldn’t give a damn. Goblins? Who cares.

Point is: Look who threw the first betrayal blow. Look why it was done. It doesn’t make sense.

Look at the next one. It also doesn’t make sense.

Constantly getting betrayed because of some hypocritical notion of ‘honor’, that same notion that, allegedly, most Horde follow. So, in Sylvanas’ mind, honor = betrayal.

Not a good look. So why work with betrayers?

Or maybe you just realize that sylvanas has a massively flawed world view that even her people dont share and everyone in the playerbase and characters realized this other than some fans who think she is has some master plan to love them every other weekend.

Explain to me what is ‘flawed’ about saying the people who constantly betray you are nothing?

Here, let me explain it in ‘XD’ terms:

Horde: “We hate those guys.”

Sylvanas: “Me too. Let’s destroy them.”

Horde: “Sure.”

(Tel)

Horde: “Whoa, whoa; we don’t hate them! We just dislike them! That was too far!”

Sylvanas: “Then why did you help me burn it though?”

(Derek)

Horde: “Whoa whoa! That’s too far again! That’s it!”

Sylvanas: “But you said you hated them though?”

Horde: “Jk. We’re having lunch with Anduin.”

Is it really flawed when the faction that’s supposedly all about hope and redemption just takes her for a lost cause? For a bunch of people that keep insisting “you can’t kill hope”, it sure seems like none of them ever seriously held out the slightest bit of hope for her. They can’t just insist that the core persona of the Horde is goodness instead of bloodshed when the only way they ever try to reach that goal is by cannibalizing themselves.

Sylvanas is the one literally fighting life and hope lol, like 90% of the horde is life you know

Can’t imagine why.

Maybe she’s been stabbed in the back too many times.
