Swifty's NPC Removed

So you agree with me?

If I accused Swifty of X, he has his reputation tarnished to the extent that brands don’t want to associate with him.

And so…

When accusation is enough, that’s a problem.

When truth is not a concern, the conversation turns to truth regardless of circumstance.

Here’s the counter argument to that:

Would you, heaven forbid, accept the same thing-even willing to admit to wromg doing if two people had stories about you that 'lined up?

I’d be willing to bet on ‘no’.

Burden of proof is initially on the accuser bringing issue to the situation. After that has been brought counter-evidence follows from the defendant.

Some accusations are more credible than others, Blizzard found this one credible.

Imagine having this entire situation backwards. MeToo exists explicitly because victims have been afraid to come forward for so long that so many crimes go unprosecuted/unpunished, and this is an attempt to make them feel safer. And yet here you are blissfully unaware that people like you are the problem, not the people who no longer have to fear coming forward to confront their abusers.

They’re just playing it safe. A npc can easily be removed and put back in once the investigations are over.

This is America and you already know it’s false accusations history. This is nothing more than clout chasing. If people are coming forward about it with no evidence years later what does that tells you? Don’t fall for the narrative and I know for sure this country of ours is extremely “believe all victims specifically females / sensitive” when it comes to this stuff not realizing they’re just being baited. This is what society created and it got worst.

The removal the statue doesn’t implies he’s guilty. I suppose maybe to them considering this is Blizzard, but overall they just don’t want loud noises period though they’re going to get it anyway always because of their swift decisions.

In a court of law, but not in the court of public opinion. And nothing short of a totalitarian government with total control over social media will ever change that.

Or they simply said “oh god, we aren’t doing THIS again!” and hit that abort button so hard that the NPC blinked out of existence.

Which seems fine to me.

The court of public opinion strikes again. Guilty until proven innocent

Oh yeah, that is their right.

Actually…you don’t have to pay for a lawyer in these situations. That’s what the city/state prosecutors are for.

You jest too much since the message went over your head.

Yes, it started like that true. But then it got hijacked by women wanting to get 15 minutes of fame, money, or even just plain revenge on men.

I’m grabbing at straws to surmise what information you are privy to that we are not and how you can justify that pov.

Blizzard or Insert Company X opinions do not constitute truth when they are not influenced or reinforced by it. Heck, even concerned with it I would accept.

It is what it is. Try to see the bigger picture here.

This is Blizzard we’re talking about. We both know they would never put it back or apologies. They’re cowards.

It’s not for you to decide how a victim deals with their assault though. They can deal with it however they choose to deal with it.

If they wanna go to the police? That’s their choice.

If they wanna bottle it up and never speak about it again? That’s their choice.

If they want to simply tell their story and move on with their lives? That’s their choice.

It’s not for you, me or anyone else to decide how they cope with what happened to them. It’s on them and them alone.

And here’s the point. Mobs should not have power. Pathos and emotions should not overshadow the objective truth. To do otherwise is to unsheathe a very fickle double-edged sword.

I will delight in the irony when people abusing said systems because of emotional manipulation have said machinations be turned on them at a future point in time.

There was anyone taking my case pro-bono lol. You can opt for a public defender, if you have enough proof to file a charge. I didn’t even have a name. Police said they’d look out for someone doing that and sent me on my way.
