Swifty's NPC Removed

Post about swifty.

Truly this is a terrible, awful event that’s worthy of all the uproar. A useless NPC was removed from a video game. I don’t know if there’s any worse punishment out there.

Seriously folks. A lot of you guys just jumped into a thread stating something without including the context of the issue at hand and just rolled with it to have a pissing contest. Y’all didn’t even ask for the context outside one post and the other stating generic information without providing the literal context.

Y’all are insane.

It’s just better to put the person in prison as even if its false it’s better that they go to jail because it might scare others coming forth and telling their story.

It’s better they take the hit for the many.

welcome to GD

It’s called the #SpeakingOut movement. It’s spreading across many different medias and buisnesses. I’m not sure if there’s a “father’s day agenda”…

A lot of people are very serious and legititmate, and have screenshots and other evidence that proves accusations. There are probably also some people using the movement in more malicious ways, but you get that with basically every movement.

the change will be eventually an over reaction in the opposite direction. the law will require women accusers to have multiple witnesses. no one will believe them otherwise. crying wolf is not a good scenario for we ladies.

Right? I can’t even believe that there are folks complaining about outrage culture, when they’re being outraged over something they aren’t even asking for details about.

To be honest, I ignored that bit entirely and responded much later in the thread to something and someone else entirely. lol

I didn’t even know he had an npc in game. Hey Blizz, wheres my npc???

I hate to say it but I agree. Im far from a conspiracy theorist, but all these coming out at the same time just wreaks of pre-planning imo.

I get that, but the OP literally didn’t provide any context and folks whining about outrage culture slurped it up to be mad themselves.

People need to learn to ask questions.

It doesn’t take much to set people off nowadays, especially on the internet. Once it happens there is no stopping it.

Go read the stories then form your opinion. Seriously.

I don’t mean to post such a one lining response, but are you serious? With everything going on in our country right now it really scares me that we now seem willing to punish the innocent just to meet the demands of an angry mob, basically making an unwilling sacrifice of someone.

Being angry all the time isn’t healthy. So many folks probably have insane blood pressure.

I agree that the victims in the example you’ve given deserve justice. Absolutely. NOBODY here is debating that victims shouldn’t receive justice.

The problem I have with this method is that “guilty until proven innocent” has far more capacity for bad rulings than “innocent until proven guilty.” Its simply the case. The problem with this method is that its much easier to prove something did happen than that it didn’t happen.

Look at it this way. When we believe all accusers without evidence, the entire court’s ruling is hinged on word of mouth. The flip side of this situation is that if I am falsely accused, what recourse do I have? My life is destroyed, and the mob is more than happy to see to that despite the lack of proof. It’s just my word against my accuser’s.

A victim’s case failing because of a lack of evidence is a tragedy. A falsely accused man going to prison with no evidence is also a tragedy. They cancel each other out. This isn’t the solution. There needs to be a better way. I’m not genius enough to know what that solution is - I just know that this isn’t it.

I find that hard to believe when almost half the main cast of Riverdale was accused recently.

My BP is just about perfect. It’s great not being angry all the dang time. :stuck_out_tongue: People really should give it a try sometime.

I don’t believe ANYTHING a woman says, I was married.
