Not talking of the pro threads as there no issue with being happy with MSV. I am talking about those who either mention one of the pro RSV poster, which just causes them to respond. Also those who go to pro RSV post to tell everyone to stop talking about RSV and move on, which just causes a argument.
Likewise, I was not even talking about you as one of the instigators, think I have only seen you post a few times. That is unless this is just another avatar they use to post?
That maybe your opinion, but if you are not into melee game-play then you would not enjoy MSV as a substitute for a spec that was originally range.
It is going to stay but how many more revamps will it get?
Think it just held back by the fact there are so many other melee spec to choose from, groups taking Hunters because they are know for being a range spec, and players not giving them a chance to show their skills.

Again, my point was that it is fun to play and more engaging. But it is more complicated so yes, less people will play it. Same goes for other specs like feral druid. Even if they were best dps, the complexity of the spec turns people away.
And BM hunters can barely be considered ranged when all of the abilities can be done while moving. MM is the only “real” ranged spec and even then its only 1 ability they have to hard cast.
I hope they change it back just so we can see the same people that want it like old still not play the spec.
PS - Notice how triggered immature people get when they come to grips with reality that pressing more than 2 buttons is too hard for them.
BM’s abilities are used from 40 yards away and they use a ranged weapon. That makes them ranged.

They obviously use range weapons man…
I meant we do not need to sit and hard cast anything, like melee. You can do everything while moving, like melee.
This makes no sense. BM hunter is ranged class. Hardcasting isn’t what makes a ranged class a ranged class. Ranged abilities do. Also, just a news flash for you, but none of the hunter specs are complex. They are all pretty much faceroll. I think there was some points in the past where certain hunter specs had some interesting complexity, but now, especially with corruption and azerite, i dont think that’s true of any of them.

There is a reason they do this. They know that RSV was more popular than MSV is. Even Ion has admitted this. They also know that a 4th spec is very unlikely. So the reason is fear. They are afraid that like some other unpopular changes (2H FDK, etc) that Blizzard will cave into the criticism and reverse the change.

He didnt, and that interview was done in Legion when the change occured. Yes it wasnt as popular back then, they knew… but it gained since then and now has stabilized.
If that makes you happy in the pants, but there’s no fear here.
stabilized from 5 players to 10

Maybe BM shows great damage in raids and mystics but its such boring spec. Survival on other hand very engaging and fun spec just isn’t rewarding enough for all buttons u have to press. Nevertheless some of us still playing it and enjoying it.
MM can be decent but then again it lacks damage and few buttons to be actual fun spec.

You know that “% at 110” figure you quote so much also looked decent for SV back then when he said that?

Wouldn’t a new class drop the class representation percentage?
Yes, but a new class would drop the percentage on every class relatively evenly. Though in this case, you would think that being a melee class it would have less of an effect on a ranged class like the hunter class.

Hunter to demon hunter, sounds way cooler to me.
Okay… that’s an opinion. Wanting to be a demon hunter would not have been something exclusive to hunters. In fact being the only class that is a physical ranged dps, it is less likely that players from hunters would have flocked to demon hunters.

Seems to me 8.6% is actually more than it’s fair slice out of 12 classes.
Sooo… every class has to be represented equally… one class can’t be more popular than the other classes and if it falls out of popularity, coinciding with the single largest set of changes to that class, it’s just this new class that was added…
right…

For me personally I would love to play MM hunter, but they completely ruined the spec. Not related to surv at all for me, actually trying to farm a 2her right now so I can try out surv because BM is braindead boring.

Its random, it could affect more one than the other. To have it drop evenly is in a perfect concept. It goes with what the player’s interest is and no the class itself.
This could have been a thing.
That your opinion. Who is to say there are more Illidan fans within the Hunter class ? This could be true with any class, its the player not the class… If it were to happens there s more fan for X class, that is going to affect its representation upon release.
Do you know what the term relatively means?
You can be a fan of a character and still prefer a different playstyle to what that character obviously is.
Its an example… saying that there could be more players in X class wanting to play the Y new class added to game… which would obviously affect more X class rep %.
