Red herrings. The thread was about the social fabric of the game, which these LFG add-ons tend to disrupt. Live is the perfect example of where that leads.

Though technically they did add parts of move anything to classic
As long as it’s not more powerful than anything in Classic it will make it into the game. What expansion it was first used in is irrelevant.

It’s already been well established that this addon does not impact the social fabric of the game at all, you’re just not listening. The addon doesn’t affect how often you will socially interact with other people in the game at all.
It makes it easier to organize LFG/LFM messages to find a group to request an invite to or makes it easier to set up your own group without having to manually copy and paste spam in chat.
You still have to invite people. You still have to communicate with them as much when actually in the group regardless of how you ended up in the group.
Based on the description of one addon from actual vanilla
Since Meeting Stones are still in development players have to constantly type in /LFG <So and so> or /LF2M <blah blah>. Well now LFG Paste will do that all for you.
people were expecting meeting stones to make grouping better in vanilla. They sucked because they were completely automated and didn’t even recognize specs/roles.
ClassicLFG is far less automated than in-game meeting stones in actual vanilla.

Nah, it’s just the rational objective conclusion, you simply refuse to even acknoledge or respond to the points you don’t like which is ironic since you talk about red herrings and act like bringing up the vanilla API and what it was capable of is off topic.
Describe in detail how the social fabric of the game is harmed by an addon which organizes LFG/LFM messages in a GUI and simplifies the process of advertising for groups.
Explain to me how much social interaction you think is involved in the creation of the group vs. actually being in the group and doing the actual content with the people after the group has been formed.

No, I have seen nothing but “it automatically posts!” Fine, ask the author to remove automatic posting and make you hit a button

The group finder tool is extremely popular in BFA and fixed one of the biggest flaws of Classic.
J Allen Brack himself said finding groups was a major flaw of Classic and is one of the big things Group Finder UI would fix.

We’ve solved the automated posts thing, it still requires you to communicate so that’s not a problem, people without the add-on are not left out so that’s out, it won’t and doesn’t track gear so that’s out, what could possibly be left

Nobody against this addon has done this or is probably even capable of being specific. They will just offer immensely vague impressions or feelings and will not be able to articulate how this addon will actually cause any harm at all.
