100% agreed, my business and what I do ingame is my business.
yeah but that is what everyone liked. They liked the game without addonsā¦ that was what all the hype was for.
No, they were hyped for Classic in general 100%, I donāt know a single person (aside from you apparently) who didnāt use addons in vanilla lol.
Just one more reply. Ya, I know they where there. It was a new thing then. I do not think blizzard understood how harmful they became to game. Sure they started out fun, but they led into the crapfest we have now. I never used one add on when I played, not one. People will gravitate toward the easy most way of everything if it is allowed, which add ons do. They slowly infiltrate. Bliz sees what they do so they implement their own. More add ons happen. Bliz adds on more. Bliz changes core game because of add ons and the easy path that add ons bring. Look at Cata, how it fundamentally changed the game. Most of my friends bailed then, it was the last straw. I guess I just do not understand and it baffles me that you have your add on system in retail. Why do you have to spread it here when many are trying to get away from it. You should change your name to Plague bringer or something. You say players wanted to change the game and fix it when blizzard couldnt. I never got to vote on that. Even so, that was blizzard then, and we have blizzard now, that has seen what happened because of all the add ons have done, taking away the vanilla experience. Give me a break. Good night, thanks for ruining my dreams.
Ummā¦ people used tons of add ons in vanilla.
Like I said earlier every single add on I use today in retail existed in some form or another in vanilla and I used most of them then.
And the great thing about add ons, you donāt like them donāt use them. Stop worrying so much about what other people are doing.
were we watching 2 different streamers? they had addons on like the 2nd day of the beta. (and on that day viewership went up 500% )
well you know I didnāt. So that effectively renders the rest of your statement false.
Legit hereās a Vanilla Rag kill full of addons
Including the old UI suite I used to use, no clue still what it was called lol.
I mainly watched esfandā¦ the ron jeremey looking one.
Heās a purist though the majority of the high view count streamers had addons day 2.
Thatās awesome.
I knew it was coming, and welcome it with open arms.
Spamming in trade for groups for hours is terrible Blizz. That addon needs to be allowed.
Well I was smelling what he was selling.
And I hear he was one of the main driving forces behind classic ever being released to begin with.
When the streamers didnāt have addons day 1 most of them said it was too hard of unplayable.
The game wasnāt made to have no addons and i donāt blame them at all.

If this is how it actually works then it would be no where near as bad as the current system. Here you wold still have to maintain a good reputation and be honorable or you are basically screwed on the server. You could get blacklisted, especially for raiding, if you got a bad reputation.
The base ui is soā¦ ick Need at LEAST bartender, even gives you more bars, which are in the game but not accessible with the base ui easily.
It is supposed to be hardā¦
That was classic.
It sucked lol, but we loved the challenge.
If we got really mad we spent 2 and a half minutes alt tabbing (cause windows took a long time to switch) to a web browser that took 7 minutes to open, to look up thotbot reviews on quests.
Girl this aināt 2004. Aināt nobody got time for that.
true lol not these days.
And 1.0 or w/e the release version of WoW was, didnāt have raid frames. We had an addon to give our healers/mages the ability to heal, buff, and dispel players out of party.
I used a fair number of rather basic addons throughout my raiding in vanilla, mainly to simplify the UI art and give myself the needed hot bars and raid frames and move UI elements around to where they worked best for me. Blizzard designed the game with addons in mind.
Never really had those issues, built a computer for wow that was pretty amazing for the time and we had broadband.
