Welcome!
Don’t worry, they’re not just cheap, they’re all free.

The early quest trackers would be nice. Don’t feel like alt tabbing to thotbot every 4 seconds to see if I am going the right direction.
Yea, I like questie.
https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/questie
It also has a github and is on wowinterface (though not sure it’s updated there).
Thanks =) <3
Quest addons are great! I can get you an arrow to follow while questing, leveling route in game guide, npc scanner, spawn locations of all quest items to loot, etc
It’s crazy how far we’ve come with quest helpers. I actually hated it in vanilla >.<

I don’t know if that is sarcasm or not with the hashtags ha ha.
I already feel bad about considering using addons.
I can only hope that Ion gets access to some of these comments that say these people are trying to make Classic into BFA. It will totally ruin so many of our hopes. I guess it all rests in the hands of Blizzard if they want a mass exodus of Classic.
The core reason of addons is quality of life.
I kinda wish they would give a stance on addons myself…
There is no way they went through all this effort to make the game as original as possible, while leaving addon api set to current levels of functionality…
It is uh… weird to say the least.
The core reason to remake vanilla was to have a harder time, to get away from all of the add on lazy handholding b**lsh*t.
My experience would not be affected by what someone’s UI looked like. The only thing I’m worried about are all the ease-of-use tools that came over time from a demand to accommodate a more casual type of play; things either directly incorporated into the game by Blizzard, or things made readily available via Curse/Twitch; and cumulatively, they do greatly impact how the game is (and can be) played.
Really? Like what?
And exactly how did the UI “play the game for you”?
Very curious to know what those were. You sure you weren’t playing on an illegal private server?
Yeah everything you said man. I scratched my head too.
They make it seem like everyone is going to be using them and I was being dumb for not.
It was called Glider, and the people who made it were sued into oblivion by Blizzard.
Addons were in VANILLA. What part of that do you not get???
Players wanted to fix the game and mold it when Blizzard couldn’t. They encouraged us to do so. If the old Vanilla Dev’s saw how far addons have come today they would be amazed.

Supermacro - One button rotation macros with logic statements, they could use cooldowns when you needed them.
Old Healbot - chose priority targets to heal as well as which rank of heal to use
Old decursive - Literally one button priority decursing
I’ve never even played on a pserver, these things and more were available during vanilla and broken at one point or another.
These people are selfish and mainly loners. They do not realize they are ruining the foundations of the playerbase, even if its in the infant stages. They have no compassion for the bonds of guilds and clans. These people are the reason we have BFA. So sad. I got to leave this thread now because I find it very depressing. Having waited so long for Classic only to have it turned to dung.
There’s nothing hard about spamming a chat channel looking for a groups, or even more boring sitting in a group while someone else spams a chat channel LFM.
I’m here to actually you know play the game.
This. Just nuke this from orbit.
Want groups? Guild up.
I am in a guild. I’m not antisocial.
The majority of them happen to be in a different time zone. Add to that, I’m a late hour person. There will be times where maybe only a couple of us will be online. This will Be helpful for me/us.
I find it amazing myself that the devs overlooked the importance of 15+ year old addon code that has evolved into vanilla wow today.
I think it is a big mistake to leave them running on current systems like with BFA.
Only reason the ptr realms looked nice, was because there were no addons that could run on them. All the streamers were advertising a version of wow that would effectively be rendered null on launch day with every addon on earth releasing for wow classic the same day.
I think it is a very bad decision by the devs.
Beta servers and Stress tests had addons, only reason many streamers didn’t use them is because it was such a small beta that the developers all didn’t get invites and had to do their testing during stress tests.
