Support for Covenant Restrictions

I remember how much it use to cost to repec when gold was scarce. Very few people use to play multiple specs with one toon. Then Cata happened and it’s been fun to play multiple rolls for a while now.

Blizz changes things up for better or worse from time to time. They may rework all this in the first major patch, but if they don’t, it’s nothing new to be stuck in one spec.

Agreed for sure.

It would be nothing new to go back to using the telegram to communicate - and I think many people would argue that doing so wouldn’t be a good or enjoyable thing.

Just because something wouldn’t “be new” doesn’t mean it’s something positive.

So you think they should undo the features they put in like 10 years ago that was super well received and enjoined by players? Why?

Seems like a bad idea to me to do the opposite of what was and is so popular

They have done much worse with flight and the water strider.

Or we could go back to letting people own other people, or taking away a sexes right to vote… because you know, “it would be nothing new”.

WTH does this have to do with covenants? Keep your politics to yourself.

Next time I’m feeling unwell and go to the doctor. I hope he gets out the leaches. That would be “nothing new” for people either :joy::sweat_smile:

What a ridiculous premise for a point of view.

Your argument was that “it was nothing new”.

I’m showing you how a “nothing new” argument doesn’t make sense.

It was a joke, dude.

this is history repeating itself
we went through this same kind of thing in bfa beta
they keep promising to listen, but really rarely do

I’m aware. I was trying to show that guy how a “it’s nothing new” argument doesn’t make sense.

Oh, I didn’t see that guy. That most certainly is a puzzling stance to take if taken seriously, lol.

One of many examples:

Some people enjoy that others suffer.

It’s sad that Blizzard is designing a system that directly feeds this.

The reality is you wont get what you want ether way. If they unlock convenants be ready to play whatever the PVP or Mythic+ community expect of you or your never going to find a group for anything above +8. Now if they lock the convenants maybe youl get to tank or heal that group since waiting for someone else might be a problem also it kinda makes it harder for a meta to settle since they will probably change and rebalance convenants as the expansion goes on ensuring you get to play and chose the convenant you want.

I always find this funny. The suffering of others because they are not getting what they want. If that is the case this game has made me suffer for ages.

It is a shame blizzard has punished me for so long right?

Stop trying to do this moral ground where you are a victim because you are not getting what you want.

If it helps at all, anyone could still restrict themselves to one covenant ability if players were able to choose. Don’t try to stop others from having fun, we all pay for this game and we all should enjoy it.

no thanks. You can say that about any gameplay element to the game.

I don’t want to see people switching with ease to factions depending on the content they doing that day. It makes the covenant system seem tacked on. It is not just about me.

You can say the very same thing about flying. All these people who hate flying. Why not use ground mounts if you hate flying? Some times the game itself needs to limit and force players to do things for gameplay reasons and that is what is going on.
