Similar issue here. Except this revolves around the phrase “If you don’t have any favorite mounts, it’ll choose from your whole collection.” I have no favorite mounts, and it does not choose from my collection. It just fizzles with an error that I have no valid favorite mounts.

Still bugged I see. Man this is getting old fast. Just give the damn otter dynamic flight already. I am rather certain if the otter trouble maker was given the same treatment as the flying fish mounts the problem would be fixed.

This is still bugged for me as well. When I try to summon a mount for steady flight, it is always the otter mount. So annoyed and wish it would get fixed. My dynamic flight seems to work fine and summon random ones but for steady flight, it is stuck on the otter. Please fix this!

Seriously. I know folks that have removed all ground mounts from their favourites just to be able to use this feature as intended. I’m not about to do that, I can’t keep adding back the ground mounts I want.
I have to resort to keybinding and using one fliying mount, don’t use the randomizer anymore.

This whole time I thought it was an addon or some weird setting… but I’m glad to know (I guess?) that it’s a bug.

using OG flying makes it so only ground mounts come out

Having no favorited mounts which should make any random mount be called, gives an error that you have no favorited mounts.

It’s the ottuck carrier for me as well, unless I “unfavorite” it. Then it’s only ground mounts. As a collector, it’s fun to favorite ALL of my mounts, and then just let chance decide what i end up flying on. Unfortunately, this bug really hampers a part of this game I really enjoy. Could we pretty please fix it? Or at least acknowledge that you know it’s broken?

Although it seems a trivial thing, it affects negatively how I feel about mounts in WoW now. Please fix it!

After doing some research, I found the actual bug is how to game determines the type of mount to summon. After switching to Steady Flight, the game believes you should use ground mounts in many locations where flying is permitted. The band-aid fix is an addon that circumvents the bug. I’ve started using LiteMount. Whenever I use Steady Flight I use the LiteMount macro instead of game default. Works great.

I also hope that with a fix, that they add a toggle for double jump to enter flight for Steady Flight stance.
I like to jump around on my mounts when bored or being silly with friends (on the ground, as if in a no-fly zone) but if I happen to be on flying mount, like my favorite Dread Raven, it looks and feels awkward for something as simple as a toggle.
