Struggling to Play Because of Addons

If you’re not mythic raiding or doing above a +10, you don’t need addons to do anything.

Well yeah, it’s for externals and things like freedom or bop. It’s preventative. But you still need it to play the game well.

Cool, get cutting edge and don’t get carried with grey parses and then come back here and tell the forums that add-ons aren’t needed to do a good job.

When that happens, I will absolutely eat my own words and praise you for your genius.

yes, we can delete dbm, and tmw.

Weakauras however, presents an issue because your positioning could be based on a list it creates or because you need to have it so someone else can see a list.

Like really, deleting dbm and I think most people won’t miss a thing because weakauras covers the same mechanics or you delete weakauras because dbm already covers it.

No, I have every right to say the real facts. Especially when you can’t prove a source claiming Blizzard said addons are required.

Spamming or Trolling

This category includes:

  • Excessively communicating the same phrase, similar phrases, or pure gibberish
  • Creating threads for the sole purpose of causing unrest on the forums
  • Causing disturbances in forum threads, such as picking fights, making off topic posts that ruin the thread, insulting other posters
  • Making non-constructive posts
  • Abusing the Reported Post feature by sending false alarms or nonsensical messages
  • Numbering a thread, IBTL, TLDR, or any other fad statements

If a player is found to have participated in such actions, they will:

  • Be given a temporary or permanent ban from the forums, depending upon severity

And say hello to everyone else I have on ignore.

Also not needed, I don’t use any

You also don’t do cutting edge raiding. And if you did, how many attempts did it take your guild to kill the last 3 bosses?

How did you make up for the lack of weakauras?

you’re confusing “facts” with “your opinion”, and your opinion is wrong.

I didn’t say addons are required. I said blizzard designs content with them in mind, which was corroborated by a wowhead post in a dev interview.

What I have definitively said is “if you don’t engage in the content, you don’t know.”

Honestly at this point, if i were you, i’d ignore me too. This is just embarrassing for you.

You also don’t have cutting edge raiding, why are you trying to bring it up?

LMAO dudes talking all this stuff, and has only done LFR and timed 7s.

I bought 60 days of game time and played about 45 minutes fiddling with my UI and haven’t since.

I feel you friend. I’m in the same boat.

I do have it though. You just don’t know how to check.

Yea I don’t care to try and search your achievements, you have 0 amirdrasil done on that guy and that’s as far as I’m looking

The context from which I’m speaking is high-end pvp. Feel free to insult my experience there

So, that’s what’s called an ad-hominem.

See the difference between you and me is I’m not making any statements about what people need or don’t need in content in which I don’t participate.

I’m here telling you that you don’t have the knowledge to say what CE raiders need to earn CE. You are claiming what they need or don’t need, and you have no experience or skills to make such claims. I’m not doing that. You are. See the difference? My experience isn’t relevant. Yours is.

I am saying as a person with experience in high end arena, I definitively need add-ons.

As a person who does not do CE raiding, I do not have the right to say what they need. By extension, neither do you. Is this really that hard to follow?

Welcome to alts. The reason I don’t use a main is cause of server transfers that might happen in the future. Posting history vanishes.

And they decide to attack my armory. :woman_facepalming:

Oh that figures.

Man, yall WoW pvpers are on the same level as League players.

What’s hilarious is you’ll cite ad-hominem when the points I’m making are in fact entirely relevant, whereas you now resort to this nonsense.

Embarrassing. Have a good one. I think that all speaks for itself

You too! :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

I’m telling you, as a veteran of the game, who has been playing since Vanilla. Who has probably leveled more characters than you’ve ever even considered making. You do not need add ons.

You don’t need any of those mods you mentioned and haven’t mentioned. You can play just fine without them. Things like weak auras are a crutch.

Bartender isn’t a requirement anymore. Blizzard has implemented better UI editing. It’s not as extreme as Bartender, but provides all that’s really necessary. With the default UI, you can create like 9 or 10 bars. You can move them around, change their number of rows/colums. Make them visible/invisible. Change their size. Basically everything people use action bar add ons for, the default UI can provide.

You can even switch the group windows to use their raid appearances instead of the default. You can then customize the bars somewhat. Just like party add ons would do.

The default UI is not in the same place it was when the game launched. I recommend deleting all your add ons and trying the game without them for a while. Start with doing simple stuff like quests and dailies. Then run some dungeons. Then once you’ve seen how the UI works, do some raiding or pvp.
