I don’t tell you how to casual it up or what add-ons you may or may not need to play the way you do. You should understand that you should offer others the same courtesy.
Not if you actually want to play the game well. The game simply does not give you all the information, and most of what it does give you is very poorly communicated and displayed. You absolutely have to have weakauras to play at anywhere remotely close to efficient

You only really need it for the parts that it communicates with other players. Like creating a list for dispel targets or orbs.

Not a single addon is required. Not a one. Even in mythic raids. You can totally play the game without it.
Anyone who says otherwise is tacitly saying they are too dumb to memorize attack patterns or see stuff on the ground or memorize cooldowns.

That said, I use them because it makes the game easier. But I am in no way shape or form required to use them.

So, yeah, the idea of playing the game without addons is pretty silly.
Because most people aren’t doing the last 3 bosses on Mythic, and really, you can do without it too. Just takes longer.

If so, or rather, what does your guild use if not addons?
Curseforge is an easy to use addon manager.
At most you need maybe DBM for raids.

I completely agree with you. A WoW without addons would be a better game (given that they redesign the game around not having addons)
BUT for the time being. There are some that are required. not many. but some. Just grab those and then figure out what you do and don’t want after that. DF was a HUGE improvement for not needing addons anymore.
I personally am very minimalistic with addons as I personally think an abundance of UI is making you worse at the game. I learned this in PvP, I then applied it to PvE and it was the same thing. The less UI you have the better. I’ve gotten rid of so many WA, gotten rid of Plater a long time ago, etc. and I made my default UI setup relatively small as well.
It sucks to see people not want to play the game cuz of addons and it makes perfect sense. I’m on you’re side. But if you’re willing to come to a compromise this game is easily playable with just a few addons. Hope this helps.
