I had a blast i don’t wanna stop, if you really wanna do a full on stress test i believe you guys should give as many people a beta key as you can in order to do a full on stress test. Will make a lot of people very happy and will help you guys find out a real stress test. Thanks again for everything and i look forward to you handing out more beta keys before launch xD

Overall good experience. Beginning was awful with mob tagging, but after the initial 3-4 hours I didn’t have much trouble questing away. Leveled an Orc Shaman btw. Getting Fire Totem was pretty annoying though.

My only real complaint was the general chat got really crazy for the last 2-3 hours or so. Like so fast there is 0 chance to read it. Not sure what the rules are in regarding overwhelming spam in the general chat, but I would have just left it to be honest if I was trying to level.

Lucky for you - hunter is horrible until level 10 when they get a pet.
I saw level 6 shaman killin multiple level 8-9 mobs after they killed my level 9 hunter.

It’s left over from when it was Stress Test & Beta since they put the stress test under Live this time (and I’m guessing it will be the same for last one in July).

Strange. During stress test it didn’t have the BETA ribbon across it.

Wasn’t able to do DM as no one was willing or able to tank. Had fun leveling nonetheless; reminded how awesome grouping up is for kill quests. Also reminded how bad grouping up is for loot quests(looting 10 gold dust turns into looting 50.)

that was fun. the bags and cloth armor drops in starting areas were not forthcoming, but since i was a tailor, i got busy and made my own.

some things i noticed:

  • no recipe for minor wizard oil for enchanters

  • no rings, necklaces or bracers with stats. some low level tailored cloth bracers, legs and capes, have stats in retail but not in classic. observationally, this seems backwards since retail relies on heirlooms and lfd rewards, not to mention quest rewards in low level zones, with stats. retail doesnt need most stat boosting low level tailored items - which makes them pure fluff, while classic desperately appears to need it. lol

  • the AI for npcs seems alot smarter in classic than retail. is it? cross species assisting each other. like way off in the distance is a spider. i’m fighting a boar (or was it a wolf?.. it wasnt a spider) as a priest and have been mostly out of mana for the last 30 seconds, saving mana for heals instead of damage spells, and dont have my wand yet. i’m beating this thing with a starter mace that does 1dps lol. i’m about to kill the boar, when that spider off in the distance, starts full out running in my direction. yeah. thats one smart spider.

  • deadmines was fun fun fun. difficult, but fun.

I played on a PVP server the first day, since that was all that was available. Everything seemed to run smoothly regardless of the super high population.

On the second day, I switched to a PVE server since that’s what I prefer. Everything ran just as smooth as the night before. Had no questing issues at all.

This whole experience from the past few days has been the most fun I’ve had playing WoW in a VERY long time. People were grouping up in starting zones. The chat channels were on fire with people helping each other with quest questions and just having a great time socializing with each other again. Guilds were created even though we knew it would only last a few days.

I had an incredible amount of fun being murdered by the evil murlocs, having to actually make an effort to complete quests, and feeling like even the smallest rewards were incredible upgrades.

The greatest thing about the whole experience was the players talking to each other again. Without LFG being there and without cross realms existing, we were actually having fun with EACH OTHER.

After the classic realms went down, I logged over to my main. All of the chat channels were silent. I didn’t feel like bothering with BFA. All of the excitement about playing was just suddenly gone. So I logged out.

I’m looking forward to Classic coming back for good. This is an amazing idea from Blizzard and I think more players will come back for the game when it officially launches.

I initially started on Realm 3. It was a ghost town. I then moved to Realm 2, which was flawless! The layering seemed much better as time went on. Population was not crowded…seemed like a perfect balance. I hope the layering will be only temporary once the game is launched.

I would like to take this opportunity to commend Blizzard on the phenomenal job you’ve done on this project! Imo it’s ready to roll out now…lol. Thank you so much for resurrecting this “Masterpiece” for all to enjoy!

(btw…open beta would be so nice)

The memories were real on Realm 15 alliance. The ending was spectacular! Props to Asmon for organizing an incredible run on Teremas to Stormwind, and then for the devs for spawning a DEV at the gates of Stormwind that we then proceeded to ANNIHILATE! Bring on Classic launch, we’re ready.

I had a great time during and after. Like when I was attacking mobs at the cross roads supplies quest. And someone runs past me with 3 mobs who then turn and attack me on the way back. Of course my poor undead rogue died. I still thought it was funny. Now to implement this is live. Oops my bad for pulling 6 mobs on you and vanishing. Lol.

There were hardly any disconnects this time around and zoning was smooth. It was nice to see the community chatting and helping like it used to way back. The ending today had me laughing so hard…Angry Programmers. haha It would be great if you all had these types of events now and again both in Classic and retail. e.g., having a big 'ol grumpy developer boss show up and it’s up to the community to handle it. I know you can come up with more imaginative events that would excite the community. Thank you for having me take part in the stress tests and thank you for creating such a wonderful game all those years ago. I was there pretty much in the beginning & still love the game. /hugs

Prior to the stress test I had no issues with the planned ‘layering’ for the first little while once Classic launches. However, after seeing the ways it is easily abused and the wicked fun and community that was in the starting zones, even with so many competing for quest kills, I realize how layering shouldn’t be a part of Classic at all in any way.

The community aspect even with multiple layers was fun! I did a lot of talking with random people this past stress test. Including a picture of a Horde raid group I was in where we went to the human starting zone and pvped. I really enjoyed the single layer and Baron Geddon ending too, everything was smooth. Thanks for the invite.
