When it comes to tanking, my general style is to be a kind coddling auntie to my group even when they are actually chipmunks with brain damage (that also results in an excess of rage). I will take care of all these idiots. I take it personally when the mobs hit someone who isn’t me. I don’t mind dying (if I minded warming the floor, I wouldn’t roll a tank to begin with), but no one dies before I do. This is my group and I will save it.
I usually pick my speed off of healer comfort and if someone asks to do an extra boss or has a suggestion, I’m down for it. Just let Tia Sledge take care of it all, wee’uns.

Sledgie, you should be very offended with the state of tanks tonight. Not a single dwarf, not anywhere!! It has only been silly draino paladins, human death knobs, demon hunter dummies and one lonely bear. Not even a single dwarrior!! No dwarfadins to be seen!! What even is this?!
Instead, I get these demon hunters who like to bounce around like big dumb superballs, moving too quickly for me to even cast a single renew on them until they are nearly already dead and I have to be a miracle worker.
But then!! Then!! Then there people, these demon hunters so afraid of standing still for even a single second, what do they do at the boss?
Stand still. In every ground aoe, they just stand in it. Three different things on the floor? Well that is just more to stand in. Two thirds of the dpsers are melee? Well that is just more company for standing still in poison.
This is why Leap of Faith needs to have no cooldown on boss fights, so I can tame these demon hunters properly.

Shoot. I was going to PvP on my draenei arms warrior to get to 70 but OBVIOUSLY my dwarfadin and my dwarf death knight are needed in LFG at this very moment.

She wrote her Ravenloft book without having actually played Ravenloft and was sent the First Edition for research material.
She does Tabletop RPG yet Ravenloft wasn’t something she actually played before that point and needed to read the supplements to write the Novels.
In otherwords she was made to approach the Novels through the lens of someone who read the lore of the RPG and not someone who actually played it.
First pop I got was the babysitting Thrall dungeon.
Thrall and the very slow pony.

Only one more level left. Level 69 now, and my new favorite tank just… Abandoned me. After two runs, he abandoned me. Him, the fun boomkin and the OP mage who hopefully will remember me and my Power Infusions’ 20% haste buff to make the big numbers also be quick big numbers.
It occurred to me that this will be the second time this very priest leveled to 70, but unlike last time I do not need to stress spending thousands of gold to fly super fast.
Instead I get to stress what my next tank shall randomly be.

Alynsa, this may be throwing something out there in the ether, but thank you for yanking me out of a toxic place.

I had to do a quick investigation to see what you meant.
And don’t worry!! We all have our dark days. We all have our moments we regret and maybe aren’t our best selves. I’m glad that I could be a small bit of help!!

Added two dwarves and one troll to the random dungeon finder experience.
Now I’m vaguely considering being a demon hunter tank just because.

If I’m ever to suffer grievous injury I certainly hope it’s in your part of Alaska.

I’m probably different with patients than DPS autorunning through every pack in the dungeon.
But not necessarily.
My troll got Motherlode, which reminded me goblins are the best, so I’ll do the quad: monk, paladin, death knight, and round out my group finder enrichment with my goblin warrior tank.
Goblin got Deadmines, which we ran through with a brief discussion on what the insurance premiums look like when “trampled by adventurers” is a real job risk. It’s details like that which make me appreciate being a goblin.

That ending…
yep… did that… and that… did that twice…
Mwahahahahaha!!!
It is done!! It has been accomplished, in spite of all the very unserious and uncooperative tanks. In spite of the tab-targetting hunters (who are obviously very wonderful people, just making honest mistakes and should never have those mistakes and accidental pulls held against them)!! In spite of the no-good, very terrible mages who should reroll to not-mages!! And even in spite of every single thing about the rogue class!!
By very first character ever, the predecessor to Alynsa, the very same night elf priest who once saw a bouncing trollboy and had everything change… Is now level 70.
Again.
I feel like I should be flying out to Shadowmoon Valley to craft some frozen shadoweave cloth…

Dragonriding makes me feel dizzy and sick but I love having an excuse to visit Outland again.
Especially Zangarmarsh!

I can’t wait for static flying, than I can still use the beautiful new mounts without feeling nauseous

Can you not use static flying now? I thought it was available presently?
Don’t think so. I don’t see a option for it in the spell book and the former flying trainers aren’t offering a option either
You can, yep! Has to be ‘unlocked’ via achievement though at least for Dragonflight content.
I’m assuming Kare means static flying for the newer snazzier looking mounts that were introduced with only Dragonriding?
