The forums worry me today.

Do not worry, Sledgie. Just embrace the madness. You will be fine and we will all be fine and everything is fine!!!

Consequences.

Well, I finally got around to trying out Follower Dungeons!!

I feel like I got next to no XP. A mediocre dps trinket dropped for my blood dk, that was almost the same ilvl as the trinkets I got during the pre-patch. It took forever, and the healer and hunter both bugged out and pulled things I couldn’t even see, then they died and I made some new, unexpected friends (I am champ tho, nothing can kill me!!). I feel no more comfortable with tanking than I did before.

Poop!! Follower Dungeons are just full of poop!!

Biggest problem I have with Draenei is the smaller weapons they are stuck with. It looks like you have a one-hander when you use newer two-handies that aren’t the size of an I-beam.

In my hasty excitement for the heritage quest (and general fatigue for Night Elves) I race-changed my Priest from a NE to a Draenei.

They look SO dreamy in cloth, and the dark skintone is perfection for a shadow priest! :kissing_closed_eyes: :ok_hand:

I had a dream where there was a kangaroo travel form and your buddy would ride in the pouch.

Very upset this isn’t a thing now.

That sounds oddly adorable actually. :bear:

This reminds me of a friend suggesting we get a glyph for travel form where we’re just running, and we carry a passanger piggyback.

Think it’s born of frustration. Can’t get a Priest or Mage to help me pull off the Prancer Manuever.

IE casting levitate/slow fall on a Druid in travel form on the tunnel roof in WSG. If timed right you’ll sail about halfway to your base clean over the enemy’s head.

Speaking of frustration.

I am currently leveling my priestie by healing dungeons, and I have noticed there are only two tanks.

There is the first tank, who is already three quarters of the way to a boss before the group even zones in all the way, then gets very mad when he dies and everyone else dies because I should be able to heal through walls. If he doesn’t ragequit, he eventually learns to slow down enough that we can catch up to his zoomy jumpy speedy rush. And then he may live, and I can do my dungeon.

The other tank is the too cautious tank. He pulls one pack, maybe two packs, but he never seems to get that I am a glowing holy god of healing and shall make sure he survives. A lot of Life Gripping must be used to keep this tank under proper control so the hunter doesn’t get bored and pull all the more things, then die. You cannot let the hunter get bored, sir!! They are not Alynsa!! They have not mastered the 360 degree no scope Barrage Misdirect full dungeon pull!!

Both tanks are frustrating and need to be tamed and trained.

I am the tank-tamer. This is my job and noble calling.

The first type of tank is 100% the reason I don’t heal anymore. I’ve always loved healing, I’ve been a Shaman and Priest healer since BC, but that type of tank always gets me so worked up and feeling the ick that it gives me major anxiety. I wish there was an option of like ‘BE NICE TO ME’ or something, idk.

This is the one draw of the AI dungeons for me. I just wanna SEE the content and not be called 500 different cuss words because I didn’t know that I needed to jump on your yak to skip behind a wall or… something. It’s not like I’m asking to join a super duper Mythic+ content pushing extravaganza! I’m just trying to finish my quests buddy!

Back in vanilla when I used to bear tank dungeons, I always warned hunters and rogues, that If you pull it, you’re tanking it. Hope you bought your tanking gear with you. Suprisingly easy way to get the point across to people that I as the tank, decide how quick we go, not dps.

AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, HEALERS ARE YOUR BESTIES TANKS! GUARD THEM WITH EVERYTHING YOU GOT!

Once mechanics encouraged blindly rushing through dungeons, I gave up tanking dungeons. Now I just do outdoor content and world bosses

I pretty much only do dungeons for leveling, because it is so easy when you’re a healer. You just get to be god!!

This shamanen is not doing enough damage? Then maybe he picks up the pace or he gets to do no damage!!

This rogue likes to stand in fire? I shall move as far from the boss as possible and Life Grip him away!!

This hunter is doing bad things? Well that’s okay, they are a hunter, they can do whatever and they shall be healed. I have no bias.

I just need to remember all of my old tank-taming skills. It has been a while, and I only just a minute ago remembered I can Shadowmeld.

I appreciate these kinds of tanks, when I heal. I haul my rump and stick close, and if the DPS knows what’s good for them, they will do the same.

I tend to be that kind of tank in leveling dungeons, because I have been there enough times. I rush ahead and pull crazy but I pull enough for me to survive- everyone else though….

Especially my DK Tank. When I was leveling him, I just picked up my axe and charged through the dungeons -unstoppable. The other members in the group would die or pick flowers or eat a lunch- who cares!

Nightsong looks at the line of tanks whimpering on the ground… none dare to met her gaze, nearby a priestess is breaking another in. “You fool’s really thought you could tank, Alynsa? She’s a cosmic level powerhouse and you…” she just shakes her head and keeps walking.

“So found any that are competent?” she askes as she nears the priestess ignoring the pleading look from the tank. “Really you trying to dump aggro on me? Buddy, I’m a monk, we generated so much aggro we broke the world. We broke it so badly it forgets we exist.”

Exactly… if only the AI dungeons were better, it’d be nice if they offered advice, depending on what’s going on.

I tried on my Death Knight, just couldn’t keep up with the crazy pace, might have adapted eventually, but, since I only like the one spec and hate tanking group content, because other people, I walked away from my Death Knight.

I keep forgetting there are race specific skills. Then again though I’m more interested in the story I can tell.

Part of why I like healing.

I’m extraordinarily petty and will let us all die just to prove a point.

I don’t mind the slightly slower ones. The ones who at least wait until they see me buff them up. If I buffed, then I must be actually in the instance, so then it is a good time to start rushing.

The best tanks are the tanks who know I do not use mana, I use gumption, guts and stubborn iron will. I do not need you to stop until we’re killing the final boss. If he is not dead, then just keep going in a direction towards him. If you see me struggling to keep up, ignore it; I’m playing my godhood game, seeing how close to death I can bring someone before giving them the glowy golden light of salvation. If you see that we’re ending every fight at full health? You are not doing your job and you have allowed me to grow bored, and I shall be forced to play my godhood game.

Because I am the group’s god. Worship me, pray for my glowy golden light of salvation. Give all praise unto me, and I shall uplift you with Levitage!! Pay respect upon my name, and you might feel the blessing of Power Infusion.

Anger me, and I shall watch as you die.

I am a cruel and petty god, and I shall cackle at your pain.

Cackle I say!!!

You can thank Golden for your BG3 characters, I guess

I actually read her Ravenloft book. It was my first Golden experience. It was not… Bad, per say. Which is a complement, because many of those books set in Ravenloft were less than good.

Mechagnomes need a mullet. They already have all sorts of ridiculous hair. Why can’t I have the most classic grease monkey hairdo? (Preferably in standard gnome toxic tropical fish colors.)

BECAUSE BLIZZARD IS COWARDS IS WHY

also Wyll is the better waifu but that’s not terribly important
