Just looked over the characters of Higurashi Rei(wa) again and noticed that their names are messages to specific characters:
Mikasuki Inori means Oyashiro Me K1 Oni no Ri. Bernkastel turned into an Oni.
Isshiki Kururu means 1 Shi K1 966 or more accurately Une She K1 Featherine Augustus Aurora(Ku/9 is Oyashiro and Ro and Ra are both 6s like Ru is). How nice of Une to protect Bernkastel.
Kimiyoshi Sakiko means K1 Me Hanyuu Me K1Ka. Witch Satoko I have no doubt.
Kimiyoshi Satoko means K1 Me Hanyuu Oyashiro. Bernkastel yet again.
Kimiyoshi Kisaku means K1 Me Hanyuu K1 Me Hanyuu. Guy is visibly trying to become Oyashiro-Sama and trick Ryukishi.
Ryuugu Kihiro means Ryu Oyashiro K1 Oni Ri. Another reference to Bernkastel who continues to tell Une to avoid K2.
Ryuugu Rena means Ryu Oyashiro 07. Ryuun Ri Oni or rather Featherine Augustus Aurora.
Sonozaki Tamaki means So No Me K1 She K1(a hint that Sakiko is K1 Witch Bernkastel).
Sonozaki Mion means So No Me K1 Me Oni(explains why she is resistant to the Hinamizawa Syndrome)
Sonozaki Shion means So No Me K1 She Oni(Mion Game Piece is Oni unlike her sister).
Keiichi Maebara is K1 May Oyashiro Ri. 1000 Years may turn Rikaās Bernkastel into a Hanyuu.
Keitarou Maebara is K2 May Oyashiro Ri. 2000 Years may turn Bernkastel into a Hanyuu. Kihiro when telling Une to not get close to K2 is telling her to solve the game fast before she turns into who knows what(actually Bernkastel is scared of losing her identity and may be forced into releasing Hanyuu from Rika just to save her mind).
Une is Higurashi Rei(wa)'s intended player with Rika tricked into thinking she is a player. Bernkastel is scared of K2 as it means she is reaching 2000 years and might become brainwashed into thinking she is Hanyuu due to accumulated Hanyuu fragments leaking out of the Rikas. She needs to remove Hanyuu from Rika fast if Une doesnāt solve the game!
Just got the love is in the air drakeriding manuscript for my proto Drake. So thatās awesome. Donāt really need to grind the last two Valdrakken renown for dragon armor, so I got some cool holiday armor for the two drakes I mainly use anyway
Oh I intend to. I just want to do them in sequence.
Iāve done the Gilnean Reclamation twice on Undead characters. And the first time was incidentally cinematic as all hell. Happened to be doing it alongside a Worgen fury warrior.
A werewolf ripping mfers in half while a wraith floats around massacaring with unbrakinesis is in a word, sick as hell and why Iāve wanted the Forsaken and Worgen to tag team for awhile. Seriously Rob Zombieās Dragula plays over my memory of the gameplay and those completely serendipitous āTHIS IS AWESOMEā moments with random players is why I still love this game.
Probably going to be drastically less fun this time unless I get paired with a random Forsaken player but Iām interested to see how it differs.
After playing through Drustvar again I really want the Horde player dungeon experience to be the canonical ending.
Idk thereās just something very funny to me about delving into cursed depths to uncover ancient knowledge, remaking a Witch Hunter order, and then the days accidentally saved by some invaders who attacked the place purely because it looked spooky and therefore full of treasure.
Ah Hell, literally in this case, do youāve to do a Draenei heritage quest to unlock the Eredar skin or just one avalible to max level Alliance toons?
Because one of those is going to be much easier than the other for me and I want a Manāari Warlock. Have a whole little idea with ex-Illidari characters. Damn shame Broken, Fel Orcs and particularly Naga never became playable.
The quest is avialable to all toons and is max level.
Thereās Horde and Alliance side quest starter. IIRC the marker is a purple triangle. I canāt remember where the Horde one is but the Alliance one is by the palace.
Actually unlocked Velves as I decided to roll an undead elf on the Alliance to be the blue version of my lock Malithrac. Who Iāll probably race change eventually for consistencyās sake even though I vastly prefer the Forsakenās model and in particular racials.
His origin is he was essentially an embedded Dalaranian reporter named Malik Proudquill in the first war and wound up a 1st Gen Death Knight along with the Stormwindian Knights. But because that character was a wizard he was able to attach his consciousness / soul to his journal. And when the Orc spirit, Gorthrac Doomstare opened it he lept out and seized control of his undead form.
After wandering around Outland in a maddened state with the two souls locked in a struggle for control theyāre found by the Illidari and serve alongside Teron Gorefiend and the like through the events of WC3 - Burning Crusade. Agreeing to help in exchange for a solution to their problem.
And in typical deal with a devil stories the solution is the Demon Hunters stiched together Malik and Gorthracās soul with an Eredar demonic one.
Hence Malithrac Pejorative Doomquill. A wild eyed undead dark magician with multiple personalities because the dude is three and one mfer simultaneously.
Since Malik was from Dalaran it would track he could be a half-elf. Which is pushing the concept to manbearpig levels. But him being loyal to either faction doesnāt track so having two but identical toons on different servers / factions tracks.
Man Iām gonna be miffed if Blizz suddenly drops human undead for the Alliance.
Not sure if you figured it out yet, but thereās a (Blood Elf) Shattered Sun emissary outside the Barracks in the Valley of Honor! If youāre a collector of any kind, Iād also recommend unlocking it on a toon that already has done the Argus campaign, since thereās a Krokul vendor with lots of fun mogs and a hearthstone toy you can purchase with Argussian mats.
Honestly the downside to not playing for awhile is you wind up completely lost on WTF is relevant content.
Hence why Iāve been leveling alts. Kinda gotta start from scratch otherwise I might farm a buncha dragon funbucks that give you gear that hasnāt been useful for 6 months.
Had to learn that the hardway when I came back in Legion. WoW has a serious on boarding problem. I genuinely donāt know how you even get into this game without a veteran to walk you through it. Thereās so many completely redundant currencies, zones, and even gameplay avenues.
Left my newbie friend to her own devices and she got lost wandering around Zangarmarsh baffled why she couldnāt level up. I left her in DazarāAlor. I donāt even know how she got there and neither did she.
Funny that you mention this, I had a co-worker semi-recently do a trial because they expressed interest in playing WoW, I stressed that it would be VERY confusing and even suggested trying a Classic version instead. Even with the new leveling experience, they were completely lost post level 10.
They also had a ton of questions that I couldnāt really answer without giving the most complicated answer ever.
āCan I have a garden?ā
Well, yes sort of. In one expansion you can grow cooking ingredientsā¦ and another you can grow herbs but theyāre only relevant for THAT expansionā¦ oh? Whatās an expansion? Well you seeā¦
It just snowballs into a mess and people just glaze over and give up.
WoW is a complicated game, it takes time to get use to. A lot of the complications comes from how much content it has and how long itās been out. This is an issue that several modern games have, where things are constantly being added and updated, itās a downside to the games-as-a-service model. The best way to counteract this is to play from the start and donāt fall off, but thatās obviously not feasible for many people.
Probably ran through a bunch of portals and wandered off in random directions.
Classic is probably the best way to introduce someone to WoW. Thereās less to get overwhelmed by and if they can adjust to it then eventually they can step up to current retail.
