So, I visited old forum to find and read again some topics. Somehow I found it really annoying to change pages, seems like I got really used to the new format. It was really awesome and funny to read those again, though!

I wasn’t sold, at first, but it’s really grown on me. Especially the Pokémon models. It really could have been so much worse.

I know I was very conflicted when I saw the first trailer. I felt like I really shouldn’t want to see the movie, but I really wanted to see the movie. It actually looked good and it was surprising.

I didn’t even know a Sonic movie was a thing. And I was happy not knowing. Happy with having never seen his odd fur (not quills, like a hedgehog?) texturing, and his weirdly muscular arms and legs.

Your sadism and cruelty know no bounds, sir.

As a Sonic fan, I saw that poster and went on a 20 minute rant at someone about how stupid the design was, and then pointed at Detective Pikachu at how putting cartoony characters into realistic movies should be.

And it bothers me that from what I’ve heard, Sega’s dislike of the design was specifically about the eyes of all things.

Oh wow. It’s only been a few months, and I’m already nostalgic for that era of the Story Forums. A simpler time. When we were at each others throats over much smaller things than the genocide of a playable race and a MoP rehash.

Edit: Like… Hanashi actually thought I was a nice person. And I’m just… not, anymore, with all the cumulative salt, and venom, and vitriol of BfA.

It actually looked good and it was surprising.

Video game movies have… not been great. Ontop of that, live-action Pokémon, with Ryan Reynolds as Pikachu, is a really tough sell. It’s ridiculous on a near-infinite number of levels, and has an equally infinite number of ways it can go wrong. But they’re really selling it, and it looks good.

I’m not even a Sonic fan, beyond catching the cartoon occassionally, waiting for something else to come on. And even I know something has gone terribly, horribly wrong with the design. And I’ve only seen the silhouette, much less the eyes or whatever else.

The eyes are just realistic hedgehog looking eyes instead of his trademark style. It’s actually the least offensive part to me.

But just spare yourself and don’t look it up. It’s hideous.

I may be out of my gourd, but I’ve been under the sneaking suspicion that breast size has been reduced in-game across the board…I thought I remembered the ladies (even Forsaken!) being much curvier than they are now.

It’s based on some nebulous credit score type system that Blizzard uses to automatically assess whether you’ve been a good citizen. I’ve previously linked YouTube videos successfully. Perhaps image links fall under different undefined rules. Though Blizzard can permanently blacklist your account at any time should you display insufficient loyalty or potential thought crimes.

I’ve heard you can increase your forum citizenship score by making lots of posts (useful content optional) and liking other posts. Be advised that you have a limited number of likes you can give each day (wouldn’t want people being too friendly).

Interesting read… There are blatant implications that Luke trying to kill his apprentice AKA the Jedi Killer was already part of his plot without Rian Johnson’s input is shocking!

It seems all Rian Johnson is responsible for is Kylo Ren usurping Snoke, Hux being made into a joke, Rose existing and the Admiral Holdo arc…

I actually liked the Luke/Rey plotline and was more annoyed they spent so much time elsewhere instead of on the two of them.
