Yeah, why isn’t the OP complaining about the 2,000,000 gold Bloodfang Widow, or any of the other various items sold with gold? After all, 2,000,000 gold is a heck of a lot more than the 150,000 this Sprite mog costs.

Buying something off a cash shop is not “in game”, regardless of the currency you use. The point I’m trying to make is, a player’s character should never have to interact with the cash shop and rewards should always come from within the game itself.
You dont have to pay a cent for it. It can be a reward for gold farming, you know, like the Brutosaur.
You’re just trying to create a reason to disagree with it.

still cosmetic or not? it’s still anti-consumer making it a microtransaction.
Cosmetic items have been on the shop for years. Mounts, pets and helmets. The helms are gone, but this new item is clearly meant to take their place. This must be one long slippery slope we’re on. Or maybe, just maybe, we’re not on one at all.

Cosmetics are just as much of an incentive to play the game as power coming from armor and weapons are for many people, and you know it. Case in point, the Mage Tower. It rewarded nothing but cosmetics and a lot of people really really like it and appreciated blizzard adding something like that into the game.
Or in other words, there is a such thing as cosmetic progression. For many people, it’s just as, if not more important than power progression. It’s a fun carrot on a stick that gets people playing the game. So when it’s removed and added only to a cash shop, it’s akin to blizzard removing fun from the game, just to suck even more money from their player base.
This new item wasn’t removed from anywhere. It was simply in the game files. They put EVERYTHING in the game files no matter where things end up going.

We’ve had the shop for years now and that hasnt happened. Game effecting mounts and costumes are still in game. This is just another cosmetic only item. Like the helmets & mounts.

So people can read my opinion and possibly make them realize how terrible Blizzard adding all this in-game content to the cash shop is.
In the OP I already stated that most players would prefer not to spend their free time to have fun playing WoW on grinding and farming gold. They’d rather gear up characters, level alts, do quests, farm gear, etc.
So because people work and have jobs, we should keep adding more stuff to the cash shop? What kind of logic is that? Would you be fine if they charged $20 per covenant transmog set?
Which there shouldn’t be.
If the majority of the player base thought grinding / farming gold was fun, nobody would pay real money for anything. Basic items on the AH would face hyper inflation and multiple items would be hitting max gold cap to even buy. That’s not the case, though.
Doesn’t matter, transmog shouldn’t be in the store.
Imagine if it was good enough to just let your fanbase who already pays a monthly sub and expansion fees to obtain it through a fun quirky questline? Perhaps darkmoon faire?
Conspiracy theories…? There’s factual evidence of more and more content constantly being put in the cash shop…how is that conspiracy? It’s literally there. It started with mounts, then pets, then toys, and now transmogs? That’s not a conspiracy, that’s hard facts…

I think they might. But they at least listened to their fan base better than they do now. In 2013 when they added transmog initially they took it out due to backlash, even if it was a vocal minority which some people here say, they listened.
Now days you literally can’t even get them to read a submitted ticket without getting a “templated” response that literally has nothing to do with what you’re submitting most of the time.
That’s fine, most players definitely don’t. Otherwise people wouldn’t constantly be begging for gold, we’d be facing hyper inflation in the sense that even basic items would cost 500k+ etc.
Yup. Plenty of them harassed me, tried to bully me into changing my opinion and when I reacted the same way claimed I was some mean bully who’s harassing everyone… people even called me stupid at one point.
I was rude back, but at least I never called people names…
Right? It’s not about THIS ONE SET. It’s about adding transmog at all to the cash shop and in the future… every future transmog isn’t going to be free…thinking so is just naive.
Careful, you have to specify doing something FUN and …engaing otherwise a bunch of trolls will say “just spend the whole day farming gold!” some even have the audacity to claim that, that IS fun… 
Or we could not spend all our playtime farming gold and spend it doing fun things, like questing, dungeons, farming drops, farming transmog - oh wait, we have to farm gold while we play to get transmog now? oh okay, that sounds SO fun…I love just spending all my free time farming gold…

Doesn’t matter, it should be obtainable in-game. Saying that is completely silly. All future racial armor sets should be $20 in the store because it’s just cosmetic and you don’t HAVE to buy it.

You’re right, farming gold does suck. Setting a precedent of making us pay $20 if we want in-game armor transmogs is stupid.
So adding mounts was bad but people literally said this same exact things. They added pets, people literally said this same exact thing, toys? Same thing and now armor sets? Max level character boosts? When can someone have the valid opinion of saying “I don’t like how this game is being ran, please stop adding these things to the cash shop and charging us for expansions and a premium sub fee”

If someone’s “end game” is getting this mog, I can tell you it’s a whole lot easier than heroic raiding. Actually it’s probably easier than normal raiding.

I don’t want transmog in the game I’ve been supporting since its inception and I will voice that in hopes that they change their minds about adding more transmog in the game, like I did in 2013. My voice was heard then and they stopped adding transmog for 7 years. I hope it’s heard again now.

Dude is legit losing his mind because the company wants to monetize one tiny ridiculous item in a market that does this routinely as part of the game model, even for subscription games.
The fairy suit being on the cash shop is an exception, not the rule.
No…your voice wasn’t heard. What was heard was the lack of anyone buying those extremely niche helms. Tbh I don’t know any armor that would have matched any of them.
And now there is a shortage of one in the game because it cannot be earned by ingame methods in a subscription model monetized game.
