Personally I think the transmog looks horrible and will never go near it. However, it has produced some totally amazing drama reading on the forums since it went up for sale. It is good to have some new material to read.

I always thought the “community” automatically devalued anything out of the cash shop, you might as well jump around naked with a $20 slapped to your forehead. Right? Or am I doing it wrong.
Cause I don’t see how any of the mogs and more than two of the mounts are appealing enough on their face that they’re worth doing nothing but pay cold hard cash for. The coolest stuff is always in game, you can’t put a price on having an in-game story as to how you go it, even if it’s as lame as “I farmed the boss X times” at least that required something other than disposable income.
But the age old question is…
Is it free?
If it is, that means it isn’t. Or something.

You posted on a forum. People give opinions and debate on a forum. You just want an echo chamber, otherwise you bully everyone.
You posted on a forum that is not yours. You do not own your thread. People are allowed to debate, respond, rebut. That does not mean they are antagonizing or harassing anyone. It means they are voicing just like you. Except they are not as hostile as you. Make your own forum if you only want to see responses that agree.
They probably have a separate team that works on shop items. Most games do.

I support you OP. adding tmogs to the shop supports the lazy folks that rather buy stuff than work (farm) for it. at the end of the day though its their loss, as people identify them easily and can mock them for it 
So what’s not concrete? Because they DEFINITELY added a transmog tab to the store.

They WERE rare when they faced backlash and didn’t add them for 7 years due to that backlash.
They added an entire store tab, they’re going to be as common as mounts, pets and toys.
Yeah, so people wouldn’t complain about them adding more like people did last time which made them stop and it obviously worked.
There is no comparison. I’m saying spending $20 for an armor set is stupid. Earning it in-game and not being charged for it should be how all armor and transmogs are earned, that’s all…

If you want to spend all your time running old raids to farm gold to pay for stuff, go ahead. That’s not fun for the majority of the player base. People play games to have fun. Not run the same dungeon over and over for measly scraps of gold to pay for the cooperate greed of the game.

Weird, I fail to see how grinding gold is in fun. Perhaps YOU like to do that, but unarguably a majority of the player base does not. Stop trying to force people to waste their time farming gold because that’s what YOU like to do. Many of us prefer to have fun when we play.

YOU have fun farming gold, congratulations. I’m SO happy that entertainment in WoW for you is farming gold. That’s not the case for most players, so closing your ears and yelling “JUST FARM GOLD AND BUY IT” is incredibly silly.

Yeah, It’s just silly that there’s actually people defending such a terrible business practice. Imagine buying a luxury car and it not having heat or AC and people saying “What? If you want heat and AC just pay extra money!”

Every year I would have a garage sale, it netted me some nice extra cash.
That’s good, now you can spend it on a subscription to play, the expansion, and now armor sets they want to add to the store. Alternatively you can just pay the sub / expansion fee and spend hours on end farming gold and get it for “free” though!
Capitalism is a thing you may want to read up on.

I pay for 6 month subs rather than monthly, i got it and didnt even know it was a thing.
An appearance doesnt change how the game plays (like a former mount did).
So stop sooking. I will now be wearing it just to upset people.

Asmongold said this almost word for word. I agree with him on this but you didn’t have to copy him lol. Yes I’m a fan of zack not asmon his stream character is annoying but the real guy is a good human being.
It’s not about ONE transmog. It’s the fact that they’re adding transmog at all to the cash shop. Please read the actual post if you want to discuss in the thread.
Just figured since you think farming gold is just so fun.
Since I go 6 months at a time I received it, and find it to be the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen in the game. Please stick with mounts if you are going to do this Blizz…
I agree on principle that the cash shop is ridiculously stupid in a game where we have to buy each expansion and pay a subscription. They really don’t help things when it keeps looking like they put more work into the cash shop stuff than the in game stuff.

Yup, that’s partially the problem I have with it. Future transmog being added won’t be “free” and shouldn’t be there in the first place.
Mounts, fine. I don’t NEED a million mounts. Pets? I don’t do battle pets and definitely won’t anymore because of them being locked behind a paywall, but fine. Toys? Why? Transmogs? Okay, just stop being greedy, pls.
So we should be getting charged for everything they make? Alright, no more covenant sets for free, pay $20 for each set because they don’t change the way the game plays.
Not only that but what are we paying for? They fired over 800 employees during profits that reached HIGHER THAN EXPECTATION. Can you believe that? Your company makes MORE than they expected and 800 people still lost their jobs. That’s blatant cooperate greed.
