I think it all depends on what the player is comfortable. You can’t stop someone from spending their time farming gold.
Much how they can’t force you to farm gold so instead you do you.

ehh transmog sets are very rare in the store. I got mine for free.
I do wish I had a pally set instead of just generic plate set though.
I heard they are returning to class sets later in shadowlands. so im not worried.

Just because I spend $20 for a tmog set doesn’t mean that I don’t mind earning things either . I don’t see the comparison you are trying to reach from and it’s a far one at that.

It is currently the only transmog set that adds earholes to the hood for long-eared races, though.
It’s possible that we might eventually see more armor sets that make adjustments for the head appearance for certain races. The Sprite Darter set is obviously not going to be suitable for every character or every custom transmog.
It should be noted that the boots for the Sprite Darter’s Wings set still look like trash on Worgen IMO, though. If you were hoping for boots that don’t look like simple textured tapered cylinders with horribly-stretched boot textures slapped onto the ankles on Worgen, you will be severely disappointed.
The boots don’t look much better on Draenei, either, but is still better looking on Draenei than on Worgen.
So basically you want everything handed to you for free ? You can make gold easily by running old raids on all your max toons for the week n vendoring the drops ez. That’s how I would farm token before I started paying real $ for sub. It’s not hard you just don’t want to there is a difference.

Im curious if the “outrage” would be high if the transmog was say 2 bucks.
You can buy all things via in game. Farm gold, buy tokens, get item. Enough of this whiney BS

Many of us told them gold…but they whined about that. Apparently gold isn’t the way they want it to be. It’s a boring way,etc. Yet I have made it fun for myself and sitting at 2mil right now. 
Plus invincible still evades me >.>

Well on a F2P model I’m quite fine with microtransactions. Except maybe lootboxes, Hopefully those get caught with gambling laws.
OP sounds just like Asmongold.
Maybe that’s why it’s $20 because of the work that went into it.
Maybe Shadowlands has 3D armor later on.
Maybe if you don’t want to spend $20 on cosmetics then STHU and stop bullying others that do.

I don’t know about that. Plenty of people find easy ways of making gold. Also, that could be said of rep mounts/toys as well, heritage armor, etc. Those aren’t lore or story based, they are grind based. Not everything in game needs to be obtainable from questing.
Blizzard must be so happy with you guys holding onto the argument that “Farming gold is a valid activity to unlock certain things”, sure that can be said for buying your enchants/gems and what not to improve your abilities in content.
But to spend your time farming 10hours a day? Yeah, no.
But you guys do realise Blizzard makes almost double the amount of people that sell tokens, right?
I’d say, that it’s a disgusting practise, even more disgusting to see players defending it.
I can get the entire sum of a wow token in under two hours using daily/ farming method and selling items on the market place.
Doesn’t take ten hours a day to get a token if you know what you are doing.
