Re-read it as many times as you need. In celebration of a new expansion and to hype everyone up ONCE a year = fine. Taking in-game items that should be available and obtained through fun engaging in game means and charging customers randomly $20-30 for them = not okay.
I just lol at the mental gymnastics one has to go through to justify to themselves that some paid items are okay and others aren’t when their main complaint is stuff should be in the game instead of paid.
I think the funniest part about all this is how lively all these people who disagree are keeping this thread. I’d just like to say thank you as it allows more people to see this opinion and for it to garner more likes and support. I appreciate your contributions despite how silly you all are for trying to change my opinion.
Only an entitled, arrogant person would assume it was for all content created by the devs.
And your point is?
Th e following is my takeaway.
You want the set and resent having to:
a) sub for 6 months because you feel you were burned last time
or
b) pay for it because you are already paying for the game
or
c) grind gold in-game because you do not enjoy that activity
Exactly, how awesome would that be? A cool fun questline that ended with you getting your own ship mount.
I mean, they’re mounts revolving around pandaren themes. Maybe there’s a funny side quest that leads you to helping a pandaren farmer with a pig and eventually it gets wings and he gives it to you. There’s millions of ways to handle it.
If it doesn’t make sense to add it to the game, maybe they don’t add it and make a mount that does make sense?
Personally I’d prefer less joke-ish mounts anyway.
I appreciate you trying to have an actual meaningful conversation by the way, unlike everyone else who’s just trying to argue and be sassy.
That’s like saying "I pay taxes, but NONE of my tax money goes to the things I don’t like!’
Stop being so naive…
That you 100% did pay for the production of anything they make when you give them money regardless of whether you agreed to or not. That’s literally how anything works.
I like that idea. I think there’s a lot of mounts in the cash shop that are asian themed, so it would be really weird if pandaria just keep getting a boat load of new high quality mounts added every year.
But for what it’s worth, many of those mounts are added to celebrate the Chinese New year with things like year of the boar, etc.
I’m personally holding out and looking forward to WoW’s first bunny mount
You’re right, saying “It’s a free transmog” isn’t meaningful conversation. I’m glad you agree.
They are my biggest supporters, what’s your point?
People do need to use common sense, there’s a huge lack of it here lately…
A lot of people were playing dumb, what’s your point?
Yeah, I’ll argue with people making pointless points or just arguing to argue. I don’t mind. It’s just nice to have the first person actually discuss something relevant vs. arguing.
Yeah, but at least it’s better than no story or anything give us $25. A lot of people have complained pandaren are completely irrelevant since their release. Maybe it becomes “their thing” to keep them in the story. I think it would be a lot cooler / more fun than paying $25.
They are though. For years we got several class specific, unique sets. Now were getting 1 per armor type per tier and 1 legendary set per armor type. Its demonstrably less.
The point is, since this flew over your head:
You being sassy and dismissive, made everyone else sassy, and dismissive.
To keep on topic: I got this transmog for free, and I assume it would have been this years Blizzcon transmog with a purchase of a virtual ticket. It’s not worth overthinking Blizzard’s morality over one transmog set.
Yes, one item themed with the expansion is completely fine on an expansion release. Random items they want to randomly charge $25-30 for are not okay. I don’t see what’s so hard about that for you to comprehend? Those items should be obtained in-game.
No, you just have no basic logic and understanding…or you can’t read…or you just want to argue over something that’s irrelevant. I think it may be a mix of all three.
