In the time she takes to make posts she could earn the gold to buy the mog. I thought she liked playing the game?
I don’t know but imagine they put this in the game with a .01% drop chance off a weekly reset.
That sounds REALLY fun.
That’s fine, but for most people It’s not.
Precedent wasn’t set 10 years ago. They tried it, publicly said they were just testing it and likely wouldn’t add more after people freaked out over it back then.
The whole cash shop has been a slippery slope. Nobody was happy when they added mounts to the cash shop, or maybe you just don’t remember. They then started adding pets and now they’re trying to add transmogs and unless we show our disdain for such like we did 10 years ago, it’ll keep happening.
Woohoo, sign me up!
I think what you mean to say is, “a vocal minority of people were really upset about mounts being added to the cash shop”.
People who visit these forums are already a minority, and those who complain about it an even smaller subset of that.
That’s a really crappy assumption to make about someone. And you’re the one upset saying that people are making assumptions about you.
I like doing many things, dear. I like backpacking, I like swimming, I like camping, I like playing video games, I like listening to music…oh wait, we’re not talking about things I like or about me…this post isn’t about that.
I mean, the rarity of it in itself would make it a very sought after item and a very cool “Look what I got!” kind of special achievement. There’s hundreds of ways they could have implemented it in the game, though. There’s barely any transmogs that are an insanely low drop rate, like Garrosh’s shoulders.
So 10+ years ago they added mog items.
But the mog item they just added is a precedent for…let me look it up.
I am confused!
Is it the price that that worries you? If it was a few dollars less, would they not have been setting a precedent?
I’m voicing my opinions too since, you know, everyone is free to have them. Suppressing other opinions though? No, I’m not. Again, I am voicing my opinions which happen to clash with other peoples’ opinions being posted. If I’m coming across as immature that isn’t intentional. I’m frustrated at all this anger over something I PERSONALLY view as trivial.
I think you are seeing any sort of disagreement as an attempt to suppress. It is not. It is conflicting opinions in an ongoing debate. You seem to have an issue with this back and forth thing. We clearly won’t agree on anything, and that’s fine. I think we should just rinse our hands and be done with it. For both our sakes.
It’s a good thing this is a really rare-looking and cool item then, isn’t it?
/sarcasm
It’s an irrelevant goofy item that most people won’t give 2 gnomes about. If people want to buy it, they will, and I don’t fault them for it.
Prove that it was a minority. I don’t know anyone at all who was happy about the decision of having to pay $25 vs. obtaining the mounts through fun and engaging methods in game. The cash store mounts hold no sense of accomplishment, they’re meaningless.
You’re completely making that up and you can’t prove it at all. So people who don’t use the forums don’t care about the game at all is what you’re trying to say?
That’s literally crazy talk…
How is assuming that he wants to buy items in the cash shop crappy? He literally said he wanted to. Unless you’re saying buying cash shop items is somehow offensive…? What a ridiculous thing to say.
Bottom line is: Blizzard wouldn’t have a cash shop if it weren’t successful. Thinking they will, at any point, remove a profitable venture is pants on head stupid.
More transmog items being added…they literally added a tab for it in the shop… is there something wrong with you? Serious question.
Try reading the thread, maybe? It’s the fact that I want the items to be obtained through fun and engaging ways in-game…for the 4th time…spending $20 doesn’t make them cool or fun, pretending like you don’t comprehend what it means to earn something is honestly pretty silly…
looks at the SL sets…
A high-rez burlap sack is still a burlap sack. Sighs. Why are they so blasted allergic to color? The Night Fae mail is the only one that’s sorta okay; the plate has an interesting design but its colors are BORING.
The OP’s point stands; even though I’m not really opposed to purchasable cosmetics, there should be equivalents you can get by playing.
Meanwhile, just gonna keep rocking Vanilla and BC on my characters.
I sub 6 months at a time and would prefer a mount over xmog any day. The store/special edition game xmogs are just jokes that make more sense in Fortnite or something. Just my opinion of course.
I’m saying most players don’t visit the forums. If what you say is true, then there would be 2 million visitors here. There aren’t. There aren’t even CLOSE to that many.
2.4 likes to 17k dislikes on Youtube for this cosmetic on Blizzards official video says otherwise lol.
So the precedent is they added more mog items?
Thats not a precedent.
I probably lose your point because its based on being a hypocrite, having to retroactively change your point, and your “my way or the highway” attitude on what is fun.
If you don’t think its fun, its fun for no one.
If you are wrong, you just change your point and pretend like thats what you always argued.
If you don’t know what a word means (like “precedent”), then you just keep using it.
And if someone dares use your exact words to reply, they are using assumptions. You aren’t setting a precedent by doing something you were already doing.
Because YouTube is known to be the arbiter of truth.
Oh wait, no it isn’t.
Yeah, but I think every video is like that to varying degrees. If they actually cared they would have stopped. And the only reason they would care is if it hurts their bottom line. Clearly it does not.
