Store fox mount

No. It wouldn’t match my transmog.
This one does: https://i.imgur.com/hzizL5Y.jpg

You people talk like the cash shop is an integral part of the game.

You’re not buying power or in-game benefits, you’re buying optional cosmetics. If you don’t want to buy them with cash, you can literally buy everything this game has to offer with in-game currency.

So even if they did add power to the menu, you could get it with gold… Not that they are, because again, it’s only cosmetic stuff.

I don’t understand the complaint about the WoW shop at all. Just seems like people were burned by a free to play game and don’t actually understand what this game’s shop is.

You can buy gold, which you can use to purchase carries through any content in the game. Is that not buying power, or?

Though we’re mostly talking about how many high-quality mounts we have in game like the ones that have been put on the shop that clearly have more effort put into them then all of this expansions Alliance mounts combined.

I actually greatly enjoyed the cash shop in the free to play game I play in league of legends.

My issue here is that this isn’t a free to play game, You pay for the expansions and then a subscription shop on top of it. I can’t understand why a cash shop is supported and shockingly by a lot of the same people who complained about the alliance getting recolored horses this expansion.

If mounts that are obtainable in game had the same standard when it comes to model textures. animations, and effects you might have a vague point. I still wouldn’t agree with you but at least then you would at least be standing on shaky ground from my perspective.

This seems like nothing more then a shallow money grab to me.

I mean, who wouldn’t??

Flying fox is best fox

Well, I remember when they first added in mounts to the shop and hired additional people for the purpose of creating mounts for that channel.

So it’s an extra (you don’t need the mount). It’s not pulling from the development team for the rest of the game (it’s a separate profit center). And it’s enjoyed by people who are willing to pay for a few extra pixels (I’m not one for the most part–I have a charity pet and the mount for the Blizzcon ticket thing and that’s it. I think).

Did I mention it’s an optional purchase? I’m pretty sure I did.

You could always buy gold, which you could use to purchase carries through content in the game. Even before the token.

But yeah I guess on that level you can say the game is pay2win, but it’s a stretch. Like if you wanted to spend a fortune, you could be carried through every aspect of any multiplayer game ever. So if you go that far, every game is the same.

As for the mounts. There are 13 store mounts right now, out of 400+. Are you telling me that those 13 mounts are the most sought after, most popular mounts in the game?

I mean heck, I got that sweet tiger from Darkshore rares. I’d rather use that than some winged blue fox, personally.

I have half of the store mounts at this point, can’t say I ever use them. I see that fox a bit right now, but I don’t hardly see any other store mount being used. So IDK if they’re as big of a deal as you think.

Oh yes, pretty blue fox mount that is fluffy and bejeweled.

Must have.

Could not resist…

When all they have on offer for in game rewards is re skinned horses I feel that those additional people could of been put to much better use creating in game content rather then creating a better finical quarter for activision-blizzard.

Yes it is entirely optional that doesn’t mean it is a positive for the game to put their best designed models (In terms of textures, animations, and effects there is no accounting for personal taste when it comes to design) for sale in a cash shop.

I don’t agree at all with the concept that the best rewards should drop from a credit card purchases rather then a in game accomplishment.

I’ll take those beautiful re skinned horses all day long.

More cash shop mounts vs being earned in game by playing the game. They charge a sub fee while in a expansion which hasn’t had the best reception and they feel like they need to release more cash shop mounts for people to spend $25 instead of being earned in game.

It’s sad that the most new and unique mounts are reserved for cash shop while the ones that are earnable in game are mostly reskins or recolors.

If you pay a sub for the game stuff should be earnable in game.

What’s the point ?
Buy Token, sellit , get your gold , pay for all end game runs , pay for store mounts … congrats to you for play " the true pay to win " mmorpg !

God forbid people buy what they enjoy.

You guys are the worst, bullying into the mentality “you must hate the game like us miserable peeps too” - like wth?

Then you just paid $40 for the mount. /facepalm

Which is $40.

I dunno at least you know what you are getting. They could have just had the shop mounts be stuck in a loot box, and you randomly get one when you buy with duplicates not being sellable on the ah.

On the topic of the mount itself, I think the prowler from Suramar is better looking, and you don’t even have to buy that one (sure you lose out on the flying aspect but I find derpy looking spectral wings on mounts that should likely be just ground mounts to be rather hideous looking).

You did pay, because you have to convert them to bnet balance. I’m not being dense. If you buy something in game, for in-game gold… You’re not giving Blizzard any money. If you convert gold to bnet balance via tokens you paid Blizzard $20 each.

I got it and I love that there are still people triggered by those that buy the store mounts.

If that’s your line of thinking, then people that buy cash shop mounts bring misery to happy players because they make the mounts not available in game and worthwhile for Blizzard to do so.

While I may eventually likely get the mount – never say never. I am refraining for now in protest for the cash grab at a lack-luster support for BFA. I don’t want to impact their 4th quarter earnings.
