Store fox mount

They did that already with the 100 rep achievement. I got that beautiful mount and now I have a flying fox. And 15 more mounts to go for the 350 achieve.

They just patched in paragon bags for BfA factions…maybe there’s a mount in there. iono, I like surprises.

This is how I play My WoW.

The mount is like 1/2 hour of work for me. I can still eat.

Is this the best you can come up with? I could probably buy and sell you ten times over but that doesn’t mean microtransactions aren’t horrible for the gaming industry.

For now I said no. Felt like a poor timed money grab. I also have 100’s of mounts I never use. Maybe when there is a special or it goes on sale. But even then I don’t think I would ever use it. Just wish some of the new in game mounts had this level of quality.

Whatever makes you happy, but I wouldn’t spend $25 for a mount that just looks different. If it offered some additional functionality, maybe.

I might agree with you, except you can get blizzard store balance by “selling” gold with tokens. So this and every other store item is 100% obtainable in game.

First I’d like a good expansion. Then we can talk microtransactions

Participating in the game store encourages Blizzard to divert assets away from making the game and toward making Pay-To-Play assets. Normally, that’s not a problem. But in BfA, it is.

That money left my account so fast my debit card was dizzy.

Nah. At least it doesn’t have that hideous highlight glow like some of the other ones, but it definitely didn’t grab me. I’m still waiting on a boat that actually floats on top of water. That might get 25 smackers out of me.

The sore has optional items in it that aren’t needed to play the game. This means that you don’t have to partake in it if you don’t want to, but others can. Now, it’s very apparent from you post that you abhor the maximization of profits, and probably think that every company should only exist to produce goods, and services on a not for profit basis too.

It’s less apparent that they abhor the maximizing of profits and more apparent that Blizzard’s maximizing of profits has led to a much poorer experience.

Every purchase you make in the store brings us closer to a pay-to-win model.

I don’t think they should be moving design time and resources away to produce content on a product they have already sold people twice. I shake my head when I see the same people complaining about how the alliance only got horse reskins celebrate that there is a new mount to buy in the cash shop,

Only thing I’ve ever bought since Cata a faction change and a race change.

Even the cynic in me disagrees. Are the store mounts a cash grab? Sure. Just in time for Christmas, just in time for Q4. But I don’t think the store mounts take away anything from game development.

Besides, this one is a really nice mount.

As much as I want to shout, “Greedy greedy Blizzard.” It would be very short term thinking by Blizzard to divert resources away from the main game to create more store content.

It’s in Blizzard’s best interest that WoW is as good as it can be. The more customers; the more people they can sell things to.

It would be like killing the Goose that lays the golden eggs.

Oh noooooes! You can buy and sell me ten times over!?!?!
You must be a super-awesome-cool rich person!
How did you become so super-awesome-cool?

/eyeroll

Cosmetic items that have zero impact on gameplay, that have been sold this way for years, aren’t having any effect on the industry. You’re just a die-hard Try-Hard on an ego-stroke. Now shoo!

Has this expansion not solidified that short term thinking is the modus operandi of the day?
