Those are literally game design decisions an addon can’t possibly do.
An addon can’t make mobster hit for less, can’t group you with people on other realms(without blizz allowing it), it can’t teleport you to the instance etc.
Those steps can only happen through blizzard changing the game, and I will be right there lock step with you criticizing blizzard if they take those steps.
We haven’t even scratched the surface of what players are going to accomplish in Classic via addons and Naxx gear. No one, not even Blizzard, thought a world boss could be one shot yet that happened. Blizzard is going to tinker and people should accept that too.
I’m with you OP, I’ll be using all addons available and if there’s an easier way to form a group, I’ll be using that too. Spamming LFG all day isn’t fun, regardless what people try to tell you. And you need to communicate to do a dungeon, regardless what people tell you.

Yes because having played both retail and vanilla, I know social interaction in vanilla happened when in a group, and this addon will create more groups that creates more opportunities to meet and know people.
The reason it doesn’t work on retail is you don’t have to speak to each other to complete the dungeon because LFD/R is faceroll easy, you don’t need to travel together to enter the instance, you don’t have time between pulls to talk while the healer is drinking etc.
People are too wrapped up in a damn game… go outside… spend time with someone of the opposite (or same if thats your thing, no judgement here) sex and make a relationship. Hit the beach, spend time with family if you have one, make one if you dont, go hiking, get a job… If you hate the changes, go play on a private server… stop feeling like a bunch of whinny little kids who think their mommies 15$ a month entitles them to get everything they want.
Just play and have fun for a few hours a day… geez…
The issue is pretty simple: People are conflating an addon that affects a single player vs and addon that affects an entire community.
DBM, bagsort, elvui, questie, etc… Those are all addons that affect just the player with them. If you want an organized bag, a special ui, an addon to help you level or farm more efficiently, that’s absolutely fine.
But other addons that are imposed on the community (lfg, raider io, gearscore, etc…)when a portion of the community doesn’t have/want it & its affects aren’t confined to the addon user, is an issue. Like Ion said, simply telling players not to use an addon won’t stop the effect that it will have in the game.
Same goes for this addon. there’s ppl advocating for it now.

Because those changes need to come from blizzard and can’t be created through third party addons…

LFG isn’t what screwed up retail. Designing dungeons and redesigning character balance to enable speed runs and loot pinatas did that. Anyone using a LFG tool is still going to have to learn to communicate during runs in Classic. The game demands it.
Two thumbs WAY up on this one. Sadly, in the end, there’s no way to 1984 the proper purists and confirm that they are hypocrites. In other words, no matter how you play there will be other paying subscribers who insist you are doing it oh so wrong.
“Just don’t use it” that is what they said in retail for LFG, LFR, cash shop, trans mog, pet battles, the laundry list can keep on going.
Most of these devalued the game, for super casual play.
You are the problem. Classic does not need these and should not be added.
I wont use the addon. I hope enough people dont use it that it becomes useless and ignored after a few weeks.

Addons were in vanilla, many of them better than they are now like auto-healing/cleansing. The developers wanted players to have access to altering the UI and so forth. It wasn’t just condoned by the developers, it was PLANNED.
Maybe you should try harder in your debate.
Add-ons are a crutch. The game would be much better without them, and macros. Macros might even be worse imo.
