About a year sounds right to me. 4 1/2ish months of tier 1 and troll dungeons, a shorter phase for Firelands yes but that means people will still be running it in phase 3 for Dragonwraths and such, so that Dragon Soul, a universally unpopular raid, doesn’t have to carry the entire last few months by itself before Pandaria Classic releases
Hoping Blizzard realizes it is the gold stand of WoW for all types of players
4 1/2 months of post-nerf phase 1 raids sounds like it will be too long with most raiding guilds being able to face-roll the easier content after the first month. IDK know why the pre-nerf, then post-nerf cadence from Wrath isn’t being used again for Cata (or maybe it will… the PTR may not represent the live patch).
There is a normal AND heroic mode for a reason, after all. Why not make it mean something?
Ulduar was 5 months by itself
ICC was 6 1/2 by itself
I don’t think 4 1/2 months with 2 1/2 raids, plus the 2 troll dungeons breaking it up a little bit, is going to drag on that long
Should’ve been only 6 months in all honesty so we could get to the actual good content (pandaria). Folks can cope all they want about cata but I give it 2-3 months max before the pop drops into the sea.

How is this rushed? We had such a massive drought for such a long time.
You’re misunderstanding, we’re talking about the length of cata, not it’s release.
50% true, firelands will be much more ran on a shorter time table lessening the burden on ds. With a short 6-8 month cata right into mop might do well the whole time.

Now raids drop and alot of ppl are not ready. I have 2 alts still 8.
Cata won’t last nearly a year, but the classic WoW playerbase rushes things way too quickly. This is what kills the the modes.
