I’m not sure what iLevel you’re expecting to face out of the gate.
You can got the core wrathful 5 pieces for around 1000 to 1200 honor.
Do the weeklies, maybe an extra wg or 3 if losing a lot. And capped again.
I’ve done this with a 2 chars. I’ll seal up the 4000 again after the quest resets tonight,

Also remember the game is built around players 4 months from now won’t have good gear. Trash greens at 78 to 80 will work

I would get 4-5 piece wrathful, and a wep and recap your honor.
You could save some honor by getting a worse weapon through scourgestones or whatever
wouldnt worry to much about it for leveling, by the time you hit 82 you will have replaced most of your items with quest rewards that are way better in stats then anything in wrath. In beta even the shadows edge axe was replaced with a quest chain reward in like 1 level. Just get some dungeon blues or scourgestone items and you will be fine.

To be quite honest, the two starter zones are expecting you to show up in about item level 150 because that’s about what you would have unless you’re buying gear leveling up to 80 before you start running level 80 dungeons. Of course it’s easier and a higher item level to level quicker, but that’s up to you.
And a stated above the gear dropped in Hyjal and Vashjr is equal to icc10 gear, or ilvl 251, because why the ICC gear has gem sockets, the starter zone gives 293-308 green/blue gear
