Stop throwing gear around and rewarding mindless play

You seem to have a very poor understanding to how MMORPGs and WoW in general works

The problem is that rewards for raids are either being devalued before, or extremely soon after they are even obtained. There are only two rewards: achievements and gear, gear which you can get faster from m+, and way, way easier next patch from world questing. Achievements you only have to do once. This makes raiding feel bad, pointless even, after the first clear. They’ve continually updated rewards for other content. It’s time they look at raids.

Raids always get attention. I’m glad world content is getting some love. We still have an 8.3. Not everyone is gonna rush to get gear. Raiders and mythic plus players will have ilvls up the fastest still and always. While solo players will take a while. Heck lfr comes out stagnated as well. Raiders get most of the love if you ask me.

When was the last time raid rewards were changed, buffed, or given variety? It’s been a long time. World quest rewards have been on the rise since introduction.

Blizzard is convinced that throwing high level gear at people for mindless busywork is the business model for a successful game because the designers of the game are absolute morons.

And it was only 2-3 predetermined slots for the normal (now heroic) valor gear.

buddy 430 is gonna be the new crap gear

it is also a catch up mechanism because new players would be horribly behind if there wasn’t one

How is heroic raid, mythic+10, and 2200 pvp gear now the “crap” gear?

Most servers dont even have a single guild clear the raid on mythic or produce a gladiator player.

Wouldnt “catchup” gear be to 400 or 415?

Would love to see someone grind WQs for 5 years…

Seriously, though, It would be fair, like you said, if there wasn’t this thing called the supertitanball, i have access to 70 tickets a week, while he only gets roughly one.

It’s ok, you can shill all you need to to make yourself feel better, this is my last week here, and no, benthic gear isn’t the reason for me leaving.

It doesn’t matter if raiders get a higher ilevel faster than the players around them when within the same tier “catch up” systems make sure that everyone catches up to them and puts them on the same playing field.

The advantage to being a raider, especially a higher tier raider, wasn’t just that you got a higher ilevel faster than the players around you it’s that you maintained that advantage over the entire tier.

I think a lot of the reasons behind why people hate all of these systems is because their power gain, even as higher end raiders, is only fleeting and temporary and the closer you are to the middle of the bell curve the less time you have to enjoy it because everyone is quickly boosted to the same level.

You’ll be able to earn PvP gear at the higher item.

The vendor system for WQs is just a catch up mechanic so you can quickly enjoy the latest content instead of being gated in old content (not relevant content).

Call me a casual scrub but I like the fact I can stop playing for 4 months, come back, do a little grinding and be semi-relevant in current content again.

They are over-rewarding for gameplay because the gameplay in BFA is kinda bad. Hence so many less players than Legion.

Classes suck, Islands were a flop, Warfronts were a flop, raids are meh, m+ is super imbalanced, pvp is basically dead.

Very true ill probably just do it on my main just to see how long it takes and see if its worth doing it again then will be fun final fantasy 14 has something close to this but there you can get trinkets and weapons easier over there but i love that WoW bfa is getting this soon in 8.2 will be fun for me for sure  Just means i still need to do events here and there for weapons and trinkets no big deal.

Trump voice Sad!

Sorry. Not subs. MAU numbers.

They did post an increase in MAU numbers between WoD and Legion and assuming none of that is part of Legions success would be foolhardy.

Source where I can see WoW MAU numbers between WoD and Legion?

Yes, John is in the right.

I just checked mine, 5 out of the top ten are from world quests. 1 is a random world drop, and the other 4 are split between mythic + and raids.

Google this exact phrase:
World of Warcraft MAUs grew 10% in 2016 and over 20% year-over-year in the fourth quarter on the back of the successful third-quarter launch of Legion.

You’ll find a link to investor-dot-Activision-dot-com that’ll give you the numbers and the overall summary of what I quoted above.

So there you go, Legion increased the one metric they still report.

Are you done now?
