You sure about that? Subs went up from WoD to Legion so apparently something does work.
That is PURELY YOUR OPINION AND YOUR PREFERENCE, NOT MINE.
I pay the same monthly fee you do so why the hell should you get to determine what gear I am limited to? Just because it’s YOUR PREFERENCE!?
I hate EVERYTHING about mythic raiding and raiding in general because you are forced to team up with other players to take on Joe Nobodies using cheat codes that didn’t have to level or gear themselves up who get to one shot you but you can’t one shot them. IT’S FING INSULTING BS.
I work the exact same amount of hrs as my brother, he’s a doctor, i’m a fastfood cook.
Do I deserve to make the same amount of money as him? I mean, after all we put the same amount of effort.
In the long run a fast cook may make more than doctor because of expenses. And let say, you both want a car of the same model ,fast cook may take longer but both in the end get the car.
Yes but those 425’s are in mythic. I’ve watched a couple YouTubers like Bellular and they have been saying that yes that 430 gear is equivalent to heroic Palace. Could that change? Maybe but that is what it is at the moment. Something about the 430 gear that isn’t mentioned so far in the post is that you don’t just receive a 430 piece. It’s I think a 400 piece that you have to upgrade with zone currency so you have to work for it. The gear will have set stats and some with bonus abilities like 2% frost resistance.
Problem here is the 430 gear that was mention takes along time to get to from 385-430 it isn’t instance gear it’ll take about a month if lucky.
While, this is going on raiders and mythic+ will get there faster. They just upset about it because casual have a chance at it.
All is subject to change.
lol I already dislike mythic + so no… I’m glad they did this as I said in one my posts they need to add something for people to obtain gear solo. I don’t always wants to be stuck with a group of people who are likely to be rude or egotistical. Plus Idk why your whining Blizz never said they would remove mythic + or raiding for that matter please sit down.
Metaphor fail. Your brother will get to 100k far quicker than you. You will eventually get to it. But no where near as fast. Maybe in 5 years who knows. But after those 5 years, yes, you definitely deserve your money. You earnt it fair and square.
THAT is a more apt description of what’s going on and the fact that you don’t see that proves you fail to understand how the Benthic gear is supposed to work (or so we’ve been told).
- Transmog isn’t an incentive when the raid sets look like they have this expac.
- Mounts are only an incentive sometimes to kill one boss.
- Aotc is really one of only two reasons if they give heroic ilvl gear from WQs. And that only incentivises killing the final boss, but if not that, then only killing each boss once.
- There was only a couple recipies to be obtained, and all you had to do was kill any one boss.
- Quest completion also only incentivises killing one boss, and can be done in lfr.
- Doing an activity with the guild would be the only other reason than aotc.
- That’s backwards. Mythics give more gear than raiding does. If anything mythics prepare you for raid. Also, gear doesn’t really prepare you for mythics in the first place, experience does.
- More chances at loot will be negated because you will be able to get WQ items up to heroic ilvls.
The main problem is that while WQ rewards have been steadily increased (after the devs even said it would be ok if WQs became irrelevant for people doing higher content), raid rewards have stayed the same.
Either WQ rewards also need to stay the same, or there needs to be more unique raid rewards, and more variety.
Folks are saying the rewards should only be cosmetic right? So clearly they’d be all for the removal of tier sets after the tier/season. Mythic sets? Removed after a tier but obtained after the completion of the raid. But lets not stop there, let’s do that for Normal and Heroic as well. LFR will have it’s own set that players can obtain after the season.
Clearly this is what they want if player progression is to become nonexistent in raiding.
Believe it or not, this was actually pretty close to the loot rarity system as described before release. An “epic” item would have the same stats, but it would have, for example, a flame effect. How far we’ve come…
It’ll be a very interesting day if Blizzard does something like this. It didn’t work well for them in the first pre-tier in WoD. If the power progression incentive is to be removed from Raiding, then maybe it’s time they go all in with Seasonal Cosmetic rewards for Raiders in a similar fashion they do for PvP.
Idk. It seems like a current version of valor gear which many people like. And I quite enjoy doing my quests. Don’t even do the mythics or raids. But if you do you get more then I do and faster. The azshara raid looks pretty cool. If it’s anything like ICC that gear might get more pug groups going. But then again players often prove they don’t want to play with each other such as Raider. IO… players only want to play with the same type of players. So basically the guys that like to solo stuff won’t raid or do mythics anyway. So you won’t see them… and the guys that want to raid have some decent bad luck protection system with world quests and can do heroic raids for there bis gear. (Also you forget the new essences in the patch will encourage players to do more things). If you see it like valor system and like getting frost badges instead of herrrr derr I want to be better then casuals you might be happier. It’s not like its the last patch anyway.
Yeah, Blizzard quit publishing subscriptions counts before Legion came out so nothing since then is verifiable by us. So, the only sane thing we can assume is that the continuation of subscription loss has been occurring since then. A few people have tried to estimate the current number of subs based on other indirect evidence, but this is not accurate.
If you have a source on subscriptions during Legion, I would love to see it.
Unless I’m mistaken, valor gear wasn’t heroic raid ilvl, and actually required you to run content, not daily quests.
It was normal level (which is now the heroic difficulty due to adding flex and changing that to normal).
It was a daily quest, in the daily dungeon awarded that currency.
It’s basically the same thing.
No, it isn’t. Not even remotely. Dungeons used to be more of a challenge, it’s content that had to be run. WQs are ridiculously easy and much less time consuming in comparison.
I’m sorry, no dungeons weren’t difficult back then, they didn’t scale and you outgeared them easily besides the icc dungeons.
It’s still content that had to be run. And it doesn’t change the fact that raids are feeling less and less rewarding.
The raids have even more then they did back in wotlk besides maybe a legendary questline. I don’t see how they survive so long without a gear chase (which is clearly what you guys want. Wqs or raids both of them are just repeating content. It’s weird how raiders want to take that away from others in a patch were they are trying to take the best bits of previous expansion patches.
