Which is precisely why I said in a previous post:
There will always be those few players who, because they are socially awkward or just plain emotionally defective, garner pleasure from making others unhappy.
It’s an unfortunate truth that these people exist at all but, as long as Blizzard allows this antisocial behavior without fear of consequences, they will continue to multiply and flourish.
Because a minority of players that don’t play well with others use the benefits to troll the community there are some that want all players to be punished for their behavior. Although that might alleviate the issue (I don’t believe it would) Blizzard has found enough means to curtail the whole to block the few. They don’t need any more ideas on how to do the same.

Once again, azerite scales to 400 and depending on the class and spec a 400 with two of your best traits is better then a 415 with one or none of your best traits.
Emissary AA rewards scale to 400* Be specific.
As I asked earlier, how frequently do you see these items supplanting traditional gearing methods? In the case study of our Paladin friend that’s a big 0 as he is wearing heroic raid armor and titan residuum vendor gear.
Very sure that in all the sims, none of the best trinkets are wq based.
https://bloodmallet.com/ check for yourself. Pvp and Wqs trinkets are always near the top if not the top trinkets. CoS is the first raid that seems to have decent trinkets so far this expan.

Yeah,it does get tiresome ,can’t get them all.if we take them out it doesn’t help the game but if we allow them flourish it would even get to the point where nothing can’t be done to them.Blizzard does do a good job at keep the lid,so to speak ,on controling it I have to hand that to them.

They are if you take popular sims at face value, and fail to realize that they use the lowest base ilvl to attempt to evaluate them as equitably as possible due to TF/WF possibilities.
Trinkets from current raids at base ilvl of even normal sim better than almost every 370WQ trinket, but they use LFR in easily referenced sims which could cause people that don’t bother running the sim themselves to be confused.
I am on my phone, but at the moment. The only one thus fsr in the top 3 was for bdk which was the doom shroom.
Mind you that was bdk and thaf was for pure damage, jes howler would be. etter though due to damage reduction benefit.
Edit: as was mentioned above at hi igh ilvl they appear to be simming for lower.
Perhaps I am.misinterpreting.
I wouldn’t really check a tank dps meter, or a healer if that’s where you want to go. Those indeed have a lot more to think than pure dps matters.
And to add to the fun, when they design good trinkets in raids this expansion they seem to want to put downside on them. Dps trinket that was good for caster in BoD would lose value if you stood next to someone that didn’t also have the trinket and one for melee made you not being able to move for 4 sec, Cos trinkets for dps one will silence you for 1.5sec, other will put a damage over time on you xd
So most often getting a decent trinket from other content with no downside will be more valuable.
That is also a considerable factor. Simming they may be ahead but not everyone can be frame perfect in their movements. So it may cause actual dpsnto be lower.
Lookkmg at a few dps speca though, many of them prefer the nzoth trinket from battle of dazar alor.
One without the other is less satisfying.

Nobody’s advocating for reduced gear avenues for anyone, just they should come from actual, fun gameplay rather than spring up out of the ground at random when you complete a chore.

This is incorrect.
One main reason is risk vs reward. If they make high-quality gear obtainable in the easiest way right at the get-go, it trivializes all of the content. In a game that’s based on players continually striving to improve their character, how quickly would that game falter if they removed the effort in obtaining that gear?
No good game rewards without challenge. The enjoyment isn’t always in the obtaining, it’s in the doing. And, humans, by nature, will choose the path of least resistance. That’s why higher difficulties for raids and dungeons reward more/better gear.
Pretending you don’t know this concept as anything but obvious and self-evident comes off as rather ridiculous.
The whole “what does it matter to you what they’re doing if it doesn’t impact you” is nonsense. If you put a system in the game where people can obtain powerful gear from doing 2 minute chore quests in the WoW world, then people will obtain the gear they need that way and be virtually done with it.
Sure, they might go into the raids to see them once or twice, but why would most continue for the 100+ wipes if there’s nothing for them at the end? Certainly, maybe the achievement, but then as soon as they got it, they’d stopped raiding. Then they’d stop logging in. And that’s bad for Blizzard’s business model.
You have to make the stick long enough and the carrot big enough that the donkey will keep moving forward.

Something forgotten is we need all this gear to use the scrapper for trade materials.
I don’t do m+ or raids ( I don’t like them ) so all I get is 3 chances at 400 gear a month. Sometimes I get duplicates and that just feelsbadman.
That is not game breaking at all. It keeps me paying and playing. Just like the rest of you.

In all areas of the game not just raiding.

Higher Ilvl gear for scrapper use helps with the Essences, but the trade materials can be easily obtained for other WQ items or just general gathering professions.
IDK Candyland was a lot of fun. AD&D was too.
The reward was playing the game with people you enjoy being around. The memories made. You know, what the MMO in MMORPG used to stand for?
Its why gear in WoW is so important. No one want to be around WoW players, not even other WoW players.

They especially don’t want to be around someone with less gear!

All attempts to re-make the Wheel has cause many player casualties. Perhaps we should test the wheel substitute before launching it live.
Perhaps we should go back to the wheel.
Remember when raid lvl epic gear wasn’t handed out for herding kittens? Pepperidge farm remembers.
