Stop throwing gear around and rewarding mindless play

I honestly don’t know a thing about RaiderIO. My son talks about it occasionally because he said he had the top score on the server for rogues. So he gets mythic raid invites or something.

In assuming that by your response, it gives a false sense of accomplishment or something?

Nothing is being taken its going live like that soon in 8.2 its not top its 2nd best Mythic Raid gear still beat it.

Its just a score based on your accomplishments. Doing things like higher M+ in faster times nets you a higher score. I wouldnt say people pound their chest over their IO score. Its just used to weed out the cancers so you dont get stuck with players who have high ilvl and low skill

Absolutely. In Legion this was very fun and booting people was like a religious fun part of the raiding.

However, in BFA I feel it’s just getting harder and harder to trim all the fat from the groups and reform with better players. Requiring AOTC and raiderio is something that I suppose is the way to go now for every raid, even just derping around on alts.

You could make a case that Legion raids were more fun, but I don’t really agree. I love Crucible and the MC abilities a lot, it’s just pugging and trimming then taking huge amounts of time to refill in comparison to Legion is very annoying.

Time consuming doesn’t equal challenging though, and should not reward players with gear that takes some actual effort to get.

My only issue is that it is extremely frustrating starting out. As a tank i can find keys up to 7 with ease.

My dps toons get screwed though.
I cannot speak for anyone else but I love raiding period. I like seeing how the stkry evolves and the unique mechanic. I just dont have time which makes me sad.

Early on it may be more beneficial to push your own keys. There will be other people in your spot and as a tank you will have a far more simple time filling slots

It depends on a case by case basis.
Getting a benthic items takes weeeeeeeeks.
Emissary caches takes over a week.
For that time incould just run mythic keys til my heart gave out AND have the best gesr in the game.

The time and effort are different, and thats what you and others have issues with.

I want to blow stuff up occassionally though TT.
Childish I know.

That’s just it. If you just jump into a M+ you aren’t prepared for, say tyrannical KR… you might not finish it because it can be challenging. You would have to progress to that point first, whether it takes a week or not.

WQs do not require skill and are outgeared very very quickly by their own gear rewards.

This is how it’s worked since TBC though. You could get loot that was very close to Sunwell quality from running 5 mans. It just took longer than people who were doing the raid.

5 mans use to actually require coordination

WQs require a pulse and a IQ above 15

Which is why it will take longer to get gear that is comparatively weaker.

Have a healthy kid in high school who actually still likes us and tells us things (families that raid together stay together).
Still happily married to her dad after more than 18 years.
Prettiest dog in the Americas (though, she is whiny and has a skin allergy, so kinda fail there).

Also, I broke 1000 raider io on my Druid last night. Goals.

I have no issue to what other people do in game, or get, or wear. I just think FOR ME it’s really become apparent that Blizzard have removed any feeling/meaning to loot that nothing really matters anymore and that’s really a bad thing IMHO when it comes to playing a game.

Reminds me of something a big raider said that makes sense… and that is paraphrasing, which is if the reward or motivation for said rewards gets removed from raiding or other group content… there is only so far doing content with your friends/guild ‘‘for the fun’’ of it before one realizes they can just play another game with the same group that actually gives a better feeling of reward for downing said difficulty of content.

Actually very impressed by these accomplishments.

I love history, love it. But never found a history class in college that I liked.

Congrats on being married, it makes me feel good that people still believe in institution of marriage.

It’s down to the teachers, imo. I had several history courses that were just garbage in all that history education. There is nothing in history you can’t learn solo, however, and that whole line about “an education you could get with $5 in late fees at the public library” is, to a degree, true. The most useful bit of the degree process, however, is learning the ethics of historical writing, historiography (the history of history), and the discipline of thesis writing, which is far more important in the humanities than it is in applied subjects.

But now you’re skewing the argument. I never once, in either of my posts, claimed to be more skilled than anyone. The debate is not over who here is the most skilled player. I’m saying I choose to participate in X activity, the gear I receive reflects X activity, as has always been the case.

Feels good man!

So they’ll pick the persons with the best achieve score and what of the others waiting hours to join groups with scores not quite up there? So it’s tough go somewhere else?

See some people have a good score but can’t find a group because their number are not M+10 or higher.
