Ilvl has become a monumental bloatfest. Now instead of using ilvl to gauge anything we have raider IO, but even with equal gear its not enough for these people. These boards are littered with crying about Raider IO, and being getting denied from groups. They want forced inclusion for existing without any of the effort
That’s not what I said. If he let’s the gear that another person gets impact his experience, he needs to grow up.
This game is an individual game with group content. You can level from 1-120 got doing a single thing with others. So if they have something you don’t, it literally doesn’t matter.
If a person has hurt feelings because of that, too bad.
not really sure you understand where we are coming from. it’s not so much of a feelings hurt issue, it’s a being annoyed at bad players who feel entitled to get into raids and m+ with zero awareness issue. like last night some dude got Storm’s Wail on heroic Stormwall and just stood there. That kind of player is getting annoying to deal with.
This isn’t really anything new, there’s a reason Gearscore was such a big deal back in WotLK.
Except it’s not. Only a very small number of people are asking for anything remotely close to “forced inclusion” and people like Spicy are acting like it’s some widespread phenomenon.
Pretty simple. A very small number of players are actually saying stuff like that. People like Spicy take that small sample size and act like it’s some massive agenda to change the game. It’s hateful nonsense that shouldn’t be tolerated. But you’re going to defend it because it fits your worldview.
when you have things like GCD changes, class pruning, and all this effort constantly going towards allowing players who don’t want to take the effort to learn the game actually compete… mindless gear rewards… you really begin to wonder.
Show me proof that there are a substantial number of players who want forced inclusion. You made the claim that it’s happening, the burden of proof is on you to prove that it is happening.
That’s not how it works. You made the claim that it is happening, you should be the one to prove that is happening. If you can’t do that, then you should retract your statement.
But you won’t do that. You’re not here for constructive discussion, you’re just here to bash people who don’t play the game the way you think it should be played.
If you don’t want them in your group form your own, problem solved.
Bad players have been in this game forever, and your guild has a way of weeding them out. If you aren’t using that system, you’re doing something very similar to what you’re bent about.
I do feel like this is the case. Although I’m sure there are a number of “Uber elites” that want content only they can see and by extension only their content should reward purples.
But I do think a lot of complaining comes from wannabe elite players that can’t progress so casuals with decent gear somehow threaten them.
Except that it doesnt. I am not sure if you ever paid attention to how wq work but they dont throw 430 at you out of nowhere. You need to grind for it, and the ilevel increase is by 5. So thid idnt the case of them getting it without effort.
Just goung from ilvl298 to ilvl320 through wq alone takes over a week because you need tl hit 315 slots across the board first, on an rng, on an 18hr time period per item.
Even if you do the grind, mythic + which is actually difficult gives the best gear.
Mythic+ is the heroic to wotlks version of heroic. New mechanics, actual difficulty, the best gear as a result.
Honestly, it looks as if you guys raid so hard you dont understand how the wq items scale or how it functions system wise. It is a much more time consuming process than you believe.
