Stop rewarding the 1%

I don’t think you ever played “The old WoW”, because the old WoW was far more exclusive with it’s rewards.

This game has become far more casual friendly, the amount of mounts in Shadowlands for casuals to chase is insane, I can barely keep up with how many mounts are in the game these days.

The fact you’re all crying because KSM and Gladiator mounts exist and requires a bit of effort is actually pathetic, two mounts, you are crying over TWO MOUNTS.

Also you complain about “re-skins”, you realise the KSM mount and Glad mounts are literally just a different re-skin every season?

You all reek of entitlement, jealousy, and envy, having two rewards in the game for people that enjoy the competitive aspects of the game is not “catering to the 1%”.

Exclusive rewards are fine.

Having nothing else to do in the game BUT push for those exclusive rewards is not fun.
Or rather blizzard leaning on these things as a crutch for not giving us just more things to do, is not fun.

M+ system of doing the same dungoeons over and over and over again under the guise of content is not good, just to push higher and higher numbers.

I bet there is something else to do.

Pet battles ahoy!

No but really, at least BFA had some reeming qualities to this, we got islands, warfronts, mecagon and najatar which were great because it was solid content that did not revolve around pushing asininly high levels of content.

I still am extremely confident I could find other rewards for you to pursue on any character you could link me.

Sounds like you just don’t like playing the game anymore, people do these things because they enjoy the game.

Pro sports players don’t do it for the trophy, they do it because they love the game.

The trophy is the recognition of their hard work and dedication, it isn’t the end goal, your priorities and mindset are what’s at fault here.

With what its turned into? you are right i dont.
Your sports analogy would be great if the sport was not changing. I played wow because i enjoyed it when it was classic, which classic wow is great, retail wow is a shadow of its self. It would be like a golfer being upset that golf is now about throwing a football.

world of warcraft, not world of casualcraft

sorry, not giving you the max jailor weapon from killing a lvl 1 boar. If you want good stuff you need to do hard stuff with other people.

Can you give me an example of a time period with things to pursue that were not exclusive-locked?

And how nothing like that exists today?

So, I guess they just remove the rare and cool things they added to the game. They wouldn’t be rare if everyone had them. No matter what, there has to be the 1%. Just like in RL, the 1% are the billionaires, if we remove their billions, we just create socialism. I guess you want everyone to get a participation trophy? Also, I am no where near the 1%, but I am sure they put in the time to get there.

Lets see
BC we had the neather drake content which was a great way to get a reall fulfiling reward by keeping up on dailies.
Also in BC you had shattered isle which had some great gear you could get by participating in the server activities

Wrath you had the tournament which gave insane amount of fun items, cosmetics, mounts, and even gear. You also had the great heroic dungeon system that would provide items you needed to craft items which stayed relevent througout all of Wrath.

You also had things like mount crafting which also was extreamly rewarding. PVP as well based on the honor system gave out really good rewards that was about grinding out content and not pushing for sweaty ranking and getting dunked on for it.

MoP had the farm which was useful the entire exp along with an insane amount of world content, with prof probably being the most fulfilling they ever were.

BFA we had warfronts and islands which i admit did not pan out so well toward the end because blizzard abandoned them

I can keep going.

Today we have PVP which if you dont push high ranking to get better gear you are just absolutly destoryed in pvp, go ahead wear all honor gear in random pvp and enjoy being destoryed by basically everyone

M+ system which is just doing the same old content over and over to push yourself into higher keys for the same gear for the rest of the exp

You have raiding which is raiding is what it is and i personally find it fun

OUtside of that what do you ahve? Choreghast? Oh great content, mission table? Fun fun
The same world quests we have been doing all exp? Thrilling.
Prof? Oh yeah blizzard forgot about those save for your legendary.

Please keep going. All the way to shadowlands. Which also has plenty of items to target in the open world.

Shadowlands has literally 4 covenant sanctums with minigames that reward a ton of stuff. You can get titles, pets, mounts, soulshapes, transmog.

You’re just not interested in that content clearly, but it 100% exists.

You guys should see this warriors armory/warcraft logs

Hey look part of the problem, “Muh logs and muh armor”

Meh, I dont care about your logs or armor.

But you are clearly ignoring all of the similar items/sidequests/etc you can target in SL when comparing SL to older WoW expansions.

Except they are. Achievements create more content by giving you additional objectives and challenges to complete, such as completing raid fights in a certain way.

You’re just convoluting the argument at this point.

If there were not achievements, I would still raid.

The raid does not stop existing because achievements go away. That is because raids are content. Achievements are not.

“This guide is a detailed coverage of every mount that has been added to the game with Shadowlands. Shadowlands adds 172 new mounts to World of Warcraft, with Patch 9.2 alone adding another 41 mounts !”

Your entire point is invalid.

213 mounts in shadowlands that can be obtained by anyone.

And this thread has entitled casuals complaining about the 2 mounts that are rewards for competitive players and how blizzard only caters to “The 1%”.

Actually pathetic.

You know what make a mount “cool”, it’s “cool” factor exists because it’s rare and exclusive, that’s what makes a mount “cool”.

Time-Lost Proto Drake isn’t special because of how it looks, it’s “cool” because it’s hard to obtain and requires time, dedication, patience, and a bit of luck.

If you want one of the “cool” mounts that are exclusive, then you need to do what it takes to rise above the rest and obtain that “cool” mount.

You want to be “special” in this game, do what it takes to show everyone else that you are “special”, earn it or move along.

The problem you’re having here is that you’re talking with someone who doesn’t actually want to play the game. There is nothing Blizzard can add that will make them want to leave the Goldshire Inn.
