Stop rewarding the 1%

This statement is way to subjective to be taken seriously.

There is no way one could seriously argue that none of the rewards you can get from soloing/open world play right now are interesting.

Yet its you trying to change WoW atm.

“If you dont like what I want to change WoW to, go find a different game”

Interesting take.

If you’re argument basically equates to saying that casual players get to have all the scraps from outdated content, then you’ve already lost the point.

How many times do we have to say that the quantity is not the issue but the quality? Yes, there are a lot of mounts in the game, but that is exactly the problem. After a certain point, having another mount to obtain no longer has the same effect as it did 100+ mounts ago. Blizzard seriously needs to diversify their reward scheme for open world/solo/casual play.

More entitlement than those who are trying to gatekeep other players from obtaining cooler items?

Yes, this is typically how arguments work on a forum. I say my opinion, you say yours. Sorry that this is a difficult concept for you to grasp.

Hopefully you understand that the available rewards from both PvP and PvE are obtainable at levels well beneath what their actual esports teams compete at, yea? Like, gladiator mounts are given out at 2400 rating. AWC players are on an entirely different level than that, it’s not even close. These rewards have nothing to do with esports, they just encourage competitive play. Not everything that is competitive is an esport.

Ok.

I think your opinion is based on being intentionally argumentative, trying to push a false narrative to get sympathy points and to change the game.

Its inherently dishonest, and will (thankfully) be largely ignored due to how dishonest it is.

If your argument is that only mythic raiders get the only cool looking stuff, then its automatically saying “dont listen to me, i have nothing honest to say in this conversation”

And I think your argument is intentionally combative and toxic, which is why I deliberately chose to ignore you until you decided to respond to me again.

Glad we realize talking to each other will go nowhere!

TBH i think you mostly chose to ignore me because you realized how your argument doesn’t hold any water.

When people like you make overly vague complaints, the key is to ask them for specifics.

What specifically do you find is “really cool” for mythic raiders that you do not get access to.

The ones that have no real argument, will not answer these questions. Because once they have to specifically outline…anything. It becomes extremely evident how they were not here to engage in honest conversation.

Sure thing, pal!

So does this mean you wont list a single thing you find “really cool” that is being designed for a specific sector of the game you don’t have access to?

It sounded like there is a lot, so its weird you won’t name an item.

See, this is actually super useful feedback if you wanted any of these changes to actually take place. The power-that-be would need to know what the community that is not participating in mythic raiding, for example…sees as “cool”, specifically in regards to what they dont have access to. So they could attempt to tailor similar rewards for different gameplay styles.

But you wont even give honest feedback for what you actually want.

No this isn’t your job but there’s levels to this game and the people who play more are rewarded for such.

If you want better/stronger rewards, you put the time in. Like every other thing in this world.

Yep that is my take, wow has been changing for the worse for what I want in the game and what I got into the game for.

I dont care about anyone else that does not like the game the way i like it.
I dont want anyone else playing the game or it changing to suit a way I dont like, and i dont really care if others have a problem with that.

I think the game is worse off from were it used to be because of catering to a small group of players.

Because everyone else, including OP, very clearly highlighted what the problem was that I didn’t feel it necessary to regurgitate it.

Again, this is all subjective because what someone else finds “cool” will vary from another person’s sensibilities. Some people like red. Some people like blue. I never argued that.

But when there are clearly rewards that are only obtainable through certain content in the game while other content gets nothing remotely similar besides boring reskins/recolors, that is evident to me that Blizzard has prioritized certain aspects of this game over others.

What I want is meaningful reward progression and schemes in place. I don’t want the same horse except with different armor. I don’t want the same toy except now it shoots blue smoke instead of red. I want something new.

I don’t want Blizzard to give me the coolest things in the game, but I do want them to put forth an effort in making doing that content worthwile.

Show me where I said I was entitled to every mount.

At this point what WoW has been “changing” for, has been in the game for a longer period of time than not.

Except its catering to any player that enjoys “raiding, pvp, dungeons, anything”.

Thats not a small group.

I asked for 1 singular example.

Ok. So what makes something cool? What do you personally want in a mount/mog/etc?

99.9999% of all mounts, mogs, pets people farm, are all available without ever getting CE.

Can you give me an example of rewards that meet this criteria?

Gladiator mounts have existed since TBC.
Vanilla had Scarab Lord mount which only one person per server had.
The first 4 expansions if you wanted a rare raid mount, you have to do the content while it was hard, and be lucky enough to win it in a group of 25 other players.

This game has become easier and easier and catered to casuals more with every expansion.

Just because there is 1 mount you can’t obtain doesn’t mean the game is not catering to casuals, it’s actually insane that you all think you deserve everything just for paying a subscription.

Do the content and earn it like everyone else.

This “Give me all the things! If you don’t, YOU’RE toxic!” mindset you have is pathetic and actually makes you the toxic one.

And I’m not going to give it to you because I said the rest of the thread highlighted it very well. You can either read it or not. It’s not my fault you’re incapable of doing that.

And this is why your feedback is not serious.

You state “cool” is subjective. That it means different things to different players.

I ask what is cool to you, personally. You tell me to go see what others said is cool to them.

Do you not see the glaring contradiction in this?

Edit : The reason why specifics matter is because often people remain vague and exaggerate what is or is not available. Being specific is more valuable feedback because it gets everyone on the same page.

But I’m not talking about me. I am talking about a general sentiment that a lot of casual players feel, that being the rewards in casual play are uninteresting.

Sigh. Thank you for twisting my words for your own benefit. “You got me.” SMH.

Classic GD logic is that anything that requires even the smallest modicum of skill and time investment is actually esports.

Your entire argument is you demanding that all rewards in the game be given to you, literally the definition of entitlement.

And your entire argument is that there are no cool looking mounts available outside of competitive pvp/pve.

I could list all the cool mounts that exist in the game that are easily obtained by ANYONE willing to be in the effort, but I’d end up hitting the character limit.

There are SO MANY cool mounts that exist in the game, and none of them require you to be a high-end raider or PvPr!

Just because there is 1 mount per season for those competitive players does not mean the devs are only catering to “the 1%”, you are just a pathetic, entitled casual demanding all the things be given to you.
