I donât know what youâre talking about as back in the early days the game was far less casual friendly. A single person in a BG with a High Warlord or Grand Marshal weapon was an unstoppable juggernaught. Epic mounts were only for the crazy wealthy. Every aspect of progression required a ridiculous time/resource investment. Some of the content for non raiders was basically not completable without people in raid gear (looking at you 45 min baron). Non raid gear basically looked like garbage in comparison to raid stuff.
Just fyi, the âtheyâ you are referring to isnât some nebulous community of ivory tower gamers. This is content that you are just as capable partaking in. Youâre just choosing not to. The rewards arenât locked behind elitist gate keeping, just challenges that any player can overcome with enough motivation.
Most of the âcoolâ things that are available to casual/solo players are typically just reskins of the same things weâve been getting for years now. The game is oversaturated with mounts and pets. We didnât really need more.
We all pay the same subscription and arguably put the same amount of time into the game. Just because you put time into a different area of the game doesnât exactly mean you should get cooler things.
It has nothing to do with the game not having rewards for casual/solo players. It has everything to do with the fact that Blizzard clearly prioritizes the rewards of one demographic over the other.
The way I look at it, Blizzard has designed their system to be this way. Rather than putting an emphasis on just playing the game, they have decided to center it around flashy rewards, except casual and solo players get screwed over because their content doesnât meet the threshold required to have cooler items.
Who said anything about expecting rewards from content you donât do? I think the point here is that the rewards from all facets of content should be interesting, and not just one sector.
Its also about the amount of effort required to get the rewards. You can put all the effort into trivial content, but you can accomplish basically the same thing with much less effort. The content with the rewards youâre complaining about (gladiator, mythic), you have to put that increased effort in to get the reward
This isnât the twentieth century, the game needs to evolve. The raid or die game will not work now. Too many options to be pigeonholed into raid or die progression. Now days there are F2P games with faster content drops and better shiniesâ
The people who put in the work should be the ones getting the top stuff. Itâs how itâs always been. Stop trying to get this company to hand out things because you feel left out.
Blizzard is trying to cater to that 1% to turn wow into an esport game and no one really wants it. If you think wow is to easy and that the game needs to be made harder for the top 10 % of the community, go find a different game and stop ruining this one.
wow is not meant to be a Hard MMO, or a difficult one, but blizzard is hell bent on catering to that crowd.
There are literally thousands of mounts that casuals can get, you can one shot old raids for some of the rarest coolest mounts in the game, these mounts used to be extremly hard to get and required you to do the hardest content in the game, now you literally one shot them.
The âI PAY A SUBSCRIBTION TO SO I DEMAND EVERYTHINGâ is the most pathetic argument you could possibly make.
This entire game revolves around giving casuals what they want, there are so many mounts/pets/toys that are easily obtained in this game, the fact you are crying because there is ONE mount per season that is exclusive to those who put in the extra effort and youâre complaining that you canât get it for free?
Just pathetic, absolutely pathetic, you all reek of entitlement.
